Is Florida offering a stream of the Vert Challenge matches? It seems they are not televising those not involving the home team. Do you get the SEC Network? I think both the TX and NE matches will be aired on that. If you don't get that channel, then I am not sure about a live stream. I do. The question is not the TX and NE matches.. it's those not involving Florida.

I've noticed in the few photos and videos posted of preseason training, I haven't seen seniors Sam Dubiel or Lindsey Rogers in any of them. Unless I am overlooking them. Don't know if there's any reading into it or what, just an observation.

Correction: Lindsey was in the group dinner photo but not the group practice photo in Flagler. Sam was in neither of them.

Can't wait for the season to start! It's interesting that, instead of the Orange and Blue scrimmage, it'll be an actual team we're playing against. That'll possibly give us a better idea of what to expect this season. Anyone going on the 19th??
Also, it seems they're pushing for 6000 fans at the Texas game. I feel like that's a bit of a reach, but if we could have that many, it would be awesome! Don't we average around 1500?

As a Florida fan, crowds in Gainesville never really mean anything to me. The Lemerand Center didn't seat 1000 last year and even with a packed house, it was never loud or menacing to opponents. I think Florida fans are just spoiled with the "success" of the team and expect them to win things. If they get 5000 AND Texas and Nebraska fans show up like I believe they will, maybe we'll actually have an environment.

It bothers me that people sit the whole time and don't really seem excited. I went to a Mizzou game last year in Columbia and it was so much fun. The crowd was so involved and loving every minute of the game. I miss the days of the Wise Guys. I think the crowd might be a bit more into it if the team were a little more emotional maybe? The attitude of the team has been pretty focused and calm the last few years, which is fine, but not that exciting to watch.

For the first time, we can't be there, but I was able to attend the Nike Big Four back in 2010 when Florida hosted and it was electric. I absolutely love Florida's arena. It's new and re-done now right? Anyways, I will watch on TV from home this year, I'm excited to see Florida just as much as I am our Longhorns this season. It will be a fun match!

It would be great if the remodeled O dome opens to a sizable crowd for the first official volleyball match. Can't get a better draw than the #1 ranked team in the country, and one the Gators haven't seen since their Elite 8 matchup in Austin that went the distance and ended questionably. And as incredibly exciting as it is to see this year's VERT Challenge matchups, no matter the crowd size, the environment won't be able to live up to what these four schools will see in Lincoln next year. The Huskers home crowd is off the charts. If you haven't visited, get there. As for family seating for the visiting schools, .........

The attitude of the team has been pretty focused and calm the last few years, which is fine, but not that exciting to watch. Those years will always be special to me. When I wake up every morning, the mementoes from that time are the first thing I see and it brings a smile to my face. I think you make a good point about the calmness. Nothing against the current squad, but the fire the team had in the past really was always great to see. Along those lines, I miss how players on the bench used to be the biggest fans of those on the court: Rhi, Diaz, Sundai, etc. had so much passion yelling and cheering that I really think it helped more people get into it.

I really wish they'd bring that tournament back. I do like the Vert Challenge but the Big Four was another level. I hope Texas and Nebraska fans are loud and proud as always and maybe that will push the Florida fans to cheer every once in a while. I agree with your point on emotion (I think I brought it up earlier). CK and Monserez will give you emotion, just need Alhassan and Snyder to find some fire. Also interested in seeeing the topspin serve battle between Micaya White and Carli Snyder.

Not sure if she transferred, quit playing, or sitting out a year. Evidently life and the potential of a great job opportunity has impacted Ms. Dubiel's decision to not play this season. The main goal of all student-athletes should be the start of a career in something other that the sport they are playing, as we all know the math doesn't suggest that playing pro sports is a strong likelihood for nearly 99% of all college athletes. Yep, that's way more than a slim chance. Sam has been a valued member of the Gator's teams that she has contributed to and will continue to be a great representative of the University of Florida as she excels personally and professionally.
