It was his sister Illyana, aka Magik. Blade just made a "Prediction: pain" reference. The writers of Midnight Suns must be big Rocky fans. I wonder if an Apollo Creed line will be next.

At this point, I'm surprised no one has made an "Eye of the Tiger" reference. I just recruited Wolverine, so maybe he'll do it.

Well I guess now one of the big bads of BG3 actually has a good reason to want me dead. I just killed her grandfather. And her father. Who were the same person.

I picked up Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for $34 (a little over half off) on Amazon. I may or may not finish Midnight Suns before playing it.

I am getting more and more motivated to actually finish a game of BG3.
I have brought many parties all the way up to the level cap at the end of the game, but for various reasons have never actually finished a playthrough (except for the shortcut ending you can do about 2/3 of the way through the game). Mostly I start really wanting to try a different class.
In some ways the early part of the game is the most fun, anyway. By late game I can mostly crush any opposition, so the *edge* of really fearing that I might not win a battle is a little lacking.

Back in the day, people sometimes released software as "shareware", typically with a link somewhere that gave some way for people who liked the software instructions on how to "buy" it by sending money to the person who wrote it. The idea was that you did not pay for the software before you used it, but if it was useful to you, then you were on "the honor system" to kick some money back to the dev. (In part this was a reaction to the idea that "information wants to be free".)
No one does this anymore.
Now people either usually use some form of DRM coupled with licenses (ie. since code isn't a physical thing, you don't buy the code -- instead you buy the license to use the code), or else they provide the code for free as "open source". The open source model is that if enough people like the code and use the code, then somebody will eventually pay you either to create a customized extension to the code or to install and maintain it for them.
I do know people who do things like buy a second (or third) copy of a favorite book and then give the extra(s) away, at least in part because it helps reward the author.

I suppose a developer could set up a Patreon where people could tip them if they want to. The games are already $70, and they often have paid DLC as well. So the idea that people should tip developers of AAA games seems ridiculous to me. To be fair to the exec, I don't think he actually said that developers should be tipped. He said that he would like the option to tip developers who made a truly exceptional game like Red Dead Redemption 2.

I should add that in some gaming communities, modders sometimes give out ways to tip them for free mods that they write. It's a bit different to "tip" someone who gave you a free mod versus "tipping" someone you already paid $70 to when you bought their game.
(Also, going along with what I said in my last post, I know of multiple modders whose mods were so well-liked that the game devs hired them to do the same work officially.)

I just got Scarlet Witch as a new character, and I have to take her on some missions to be able to research a very useful ability to cure allies of negative status effects in combat. Unfortunately, her starting deck of cards is really bad. I was redrawing all of her cards because they were nearly always dead. I looked up her optimal build, and it's nearly all rare and epic cards. My Hunter really had to carry her through the first mission with some help from Blade.

I just got my first mission that gives legendary rewards, which is nice. I have a handful of legendary cards that you get for getting your allies to max friendship level and completing a bonus challenge for them. Hunter also has one for getting a high enough light/dark balance and another from completing a bonus challenge that required the building of an abbey enhancement that unlocked those missions. However, I only have one copy of each of these cards. In order to upgrade the cards, I need a second copy, which I can only get from legendary missions. Anyway, this mission had a "hard" rating on the mission map, so I decided that it wasn't worth taking Scarlet Witch. I sent her on a hero op instead, since it rewarded an epic card, and both of hers are supposed to be good. Iron Man was compulsory, which is fine, since he's one of the stronger characters. And I took the powerful Dr. Strange as the third character.
This was a "nest mother" mission where the objective is simply to defeat the nest mother. These enemies have high health and hit hard. They're classified as supervillains, so they get two actions per turn and have other benefits that the boss characters (e.g. Venom, Sabretooth) get. They also summon stone altars that can be upgraded to monuments at the end of the turn if they're not destroyed. If the altars are destroyed, they do some damage to the nest mother, which helps to whittle down their health. The monuments typically apply buffs to the enemies or debuffs to the heroes. On top of all that, the nest mother always has a guardian unit protecting them, which means they can't be targeted without eliminating the guardian's shield or otherwise neutralizing it. As this mission was classified as hard, there was also a high chance that another supervillain would show up as a reinforcement at the end of the turn.
Well, Hunter has a card called Mindbender that can trivialize these encounters. The upgraded version forces an enemy to attack its closest ally twice. If you target the guardian, it will remove the protection and knock off about a third of the brood mother's health with the two attacks. When I go on these missions, I will equip two copies in Hunter's deck to maximize the chances of drawing one of them. Sure enough, I got one in my opening hand and led off with it. I then had Iron Man use a card that makes an enemy vulnerable, which increases damage to it by 50%. At that point, I had a couple very powerful cards in hand to take out the brood mother. One was a hero combo, and the other was Dr. Strange's legendary card, which is an AOE for high damage. I went with the latter.

I was enjoying playing Baldur's Gate 3 until I realized my party members were all communists.
They share all their gold. They share all their food. If somebody finds armor or a weapon they can't use, they just give it to somebody who can use it.
And worst of all? My cleric provides FREE HEALTHCARE to everyone else!
