Alison and Bruno did not do well or not as we would expect from them, and yeah they only won 1 event, but these 4 teams selected have won 0 events. Well, knowing that they pay more $$$ than the WCH it makes it even more unfair. Oh well.... How is it unfair? They are 3rd in standings of Brazilian teams? Who should be pissed are Ryan and John. Their year was way better than Casey and Theo FIVB wise. I wonder if teams turned down invites? It would be hard to think that, with the large payout, but I guess teams could have declined. could be hard going MBO and Tour Championship back to back from Cali. Agree with you about Ryan and John. They had a 4th place in Ft. Lauderdale highlighted by a 2nd place in Poland. Casey and Theo-- I recall they didn't even make it out of pool play for one or two events, and placing 17th consistently...

Yeah, I think there are quite a few teams I'd chose before Casey and Theo just not John/Ryan. I'd say they are the worst team in this limitted draw. Oh well, still a good field and not many easy matches.

A 3rd and 4th and a few other semi-decent finishes. US just doesn't have good defenders

I heard that there were quite a few turn downs on both gender sides Multiple teams turning down the biggest payday - by far - of the year? That would be, well, remarkable, I guess.
