2 kills for Nebraska's OHs after 2 sets. Smh 🤦🏽♂️ Wow that's an insane stat. That doesn't happen. Not normal. Ok time to continue my rant. Foecke is not a dynamic, versatile hitter. If I'm wrong she's yet to prove it. Her roll shots are seriously so ugly and easy to read, her placement is sub-par and for a power hitter she has provided little to no use in terms of back-row attack. Anni is having her worst match of the season and I feel like that affects her confidence. Brianna is an undersized middle as it is and I don't feel like she is good at making up for it in terms of blocking. Nebraska making stupid errors, too. What does Boender honestly bring to the table by subbing her in? I've yet to be amazed by anything Maloney has done. I do have to say that Duello's block alone is reason for Wisconsin to keep her on the court. Giving the Huskers fits. Also, did something happen to Densberger? Why is she not playing? She brings a lot of energy. I think Foecke hasn't been playing great this year, but you can see with her power that hitting off high hands for her is a real weapon. I'm not sure why she doesn't employ it more. It helped get them back into the match tonight, and helped them win the reverse in Lincoln. It's clear the badgers decided to focus on Albrecht an take away line. As they got tired as the match wore on, holes started appearing in the block and Annika did OK. Also, I don't think Maloney was your big problem. I actually think the floor defense did OK, but the block did not protect them until the third. Maybe that's down to Hilley... I dunno. I though Holman played pretty well.

Congrats to the Badgers! It seems Duello was the big gamer today. I'm honestly just happy Nebraska ended up getting 32 kills in the last two sets compared to the 14 in the first two. Foecke and Jazz upped their game in the last two sets as well. Even though I'm hard on Foecke, I'm impressed that she only made the 1 attack error today. Once again, congratulations to Wisconsin. Arguing that a team would be better with a player that is not available to play is like arguing Nebraska would be better had she not de-comitted. At the end of the day she is unavailable to both sides and if Wisconsin wins a championship it will be because the players they have on the court are good enough and if they lose it will be because those players didn't deliver, not because "Haggerty would have done it better"

So I watched the first set on my couch, listening to the TV announcers
Watched set two while rowing (5k tonight, started a couple of points in and didn't finish until into the intermission
Watched set three back on my couch, still listening to the TV announcers
Set four, I reversed the polarity and listened to Jon and Pete (I had been listening to the TV folks to reverse the polarity from the last few matches); seemed to work better tonight then during the last three matches.

More swings for Haggerty would mean less swings for Rettke and Williams. Those two players are more difficult to handle for Nebraska due to height and athleticism. Playing Haggerty would also mean sitting Duello's block or Bates' passing. We could also mention that it could be reasonably argued that Tiffany Clark shouldn't even be eligible. The ifs and buts can go on forever. What if Kelly Hunter never redshirted and she graduated last year? If Holman chose PSU? If Cook never left Wisconsin for Nebraska? If Nazi Germany hadn't invaded Russia? The human frontal cortex never expanded in surface area to allow my now clearly insane rambling toward reductio ad absurdum?

I was bouncing back and forth on the radio broadcasts and the Husker one was about a minute ahead. First, John Baylor said it didn't look close, then I popped over and Pete Waite said, "That was waay over the top", then the overturn call came and he's like, "Oh, wow!". Yeah exact scene has happened multiple times this season. They must have different camera angels or else the refs are consistently making crazy calls. Who knows, I'm just reporting what I heard the radio dudes say. I guess relatively lo-def replays are better than none. Think I heard some coach say that sweet FIVB system is prohibitively expensive.

Wisconsin in 4. If the Badgers can pass, they can swing with anyone. Nebraska's blocking is still pretty leaky and Foecke's recent offensive struggles are concerning. The Huskers aren't going undefeated in the Big Ten and this is as likely a place as any to drop one. Look who won the pony.

The Nebraska offense was so much more interesting and fun to watch, they have a great season to come. Wisconsin is so boring. injury and lack of talent Hahahaha. Did they not recruit your granddaughter?

Well, one scenario is far more proximate than others. I for one am glad we'll have her next year with a more mature soph class. God, I miss you HuskyJenn. :/
