May be Frost really wants his buyout now and is doing everything he can to make Nebraska pay it. š Lose a bad as you can for $7.5M? Nice gig if you can get it.

Well, at least we didn't lose to Directional Georgia.
Also, Wazzu with a road win at a ranked Wisconsin team.

Nebraska eats some money, but IMO the best decision for all parties at this point.

I'm a little surprised, but I'm guessing that some booster agreed to pay the other half of the buyout for Frost to go away immediately.

With Frost officially gone, who does Nebraska hire next? I think the best choice would be Urban Meyer if they want to win, but I'm not sure they'd do it.

Mickey Joseph becomes the first POC head coach in Nebraska history. Any sport.

It's going to take a special coach to take the Nebraska job now. We've fired 5 head coaches in a row - two of them winning about 9 games a year. Who in their right mind wants to move their family to a new area with their chances of survival so slim? Urban might do it just because it is a big challenge and a chance to redeem himself after his NFL fiasco. I can't see any of the other big names taking the plunge. I wouldn't mind stealing the K-State coach. Arkansas coach maybe too. But one thing we know for sure - success is never guaranteed.

I can't imagine Sam Pittman would have any interest in Nebraska. Not sure on Klieman. I doubt it, but maybe. Before he got to Kansas State, he was coaching that powerhouse FCS at North Dakota State. He seems to be doing fine at Kansas State, though. I think it would be very hard to lure away a P5 coach in a good situation. So hiring an up-and-coming assistant or a successful G5 coach is probably what they'll do. We'll see.

Frost should have been canned after last season, or late last season so they could move as quickly as possible to find a top candidate.
