Even closer to how I would rank them - but I think DiG has generally done a better job than AVCA anyways.

I'm not sure I like the individual pairs events. After "experiencing" them as part of the Big West tournament, I found myself not caring. I'll probably be sorry I asked, but what don't you like about the pairs events? "Not caring" doesn't make the grade as a good reason, but maybe that's the reason everybody has for not liking something.

To me, it doesn't matter who the coach inserts in the flights so long as the team wins. After the team results are final, I'm not that interested in the individual stuff.

wow they listed UCLA's record as 40-14. Pretty sure you don't become the national champion by losing so many matches

My vote is for a double final like the good ole days. If you come up thru the losers bracket you have to win twice! It’s the only way to have a true winner. In my eyes, FSU and UCLA split. You are exactly right...in a double elimination tournament it is unfair for an undefeated team to be eliminated when they lose for the first time!

Interesting that all AA's were pairs of partners. For the HM, there were two pairs and two individuals. Do they consider individuals for the main AA list or are only pairs chosen?
