Has NAIA announced that they will be sponsoring Beach as a varsity sport sometime soon? Right now it is a club sport in NAIA. I think that CCCAA did for California JuCo's, but I don't recall seeing anything else. Didn't see this posted anywhere yet in this thread, but NAIA named Beach Volleyball as an emerging sport back in April. They need at least 25 schools to sponsor in order for it to move to the next step as an "Invitational" sport with a Championship. www.naia.org/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=1179274&SPID=192712&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=211799459&DB_OEM_ID=27900

Yeah.. i think this is the closest I could find ...
"On top of football preparations, Erskine is adding six more programs in the 2019-20 school year: track and field, beach volleyball, acrobatics and tumbling, bass fishing, rodeo and esports."
Bass fishing... really.. Bass fishing...

I've heard of and seen bass fishing at least. Have no experience with tumbling, how that works or is scored though have witnessed it at bars and frat parties. What is esports?

Fortnite, League of Legends, Rocket League, that sort of thing. My son went to college about 5 years too early, lol.

Professional bass fishing is actually pretty huge in South Carolina, didn't know it was an actual NCAA sport though...maybe it's emerging. I wonder if adding E "Sports" will force them to hire a new trainer, specializing in hands & wrists, to deal with the thumb injuries

My son actually has a full ride scholarship for eSports. He is starting his senior year in college. His school focuses on League of Legends - you would be surprised at how much teamwork and strategy is involved. We got very lucky that the timing worked out perfect for him (and for my bank account)!
