What's the story with Lexi Rodriguez and the Borum sisters leaving SPRI for Fusion? As far as I’ve heard, they wanted to play USAV events.

Why is Kennedi Orr playing 17s this year? 100% pure speculation from me, but if you look at the rosters, 17-1 looks stronger.

Why is Kennedi Orr playing 17s this year? Northern Lights puts their studs all in the same age group each year. The 17-1s are much much stronger than the 18-1s. They try to guarantee at least one Open natty championship

They try to guarantee at least one Open natty championship I figured that would be the reason. Trying to stack the roster with more potential.

Jardine came out of nowhere? Didn’t she commit to Wisconsin as a freshmen? I have a hard time seeing Sheff, or any elite D1 program, committing a scholarship to a player that early that didn’t already show high potential early on. She committed this past spring so she kind of came out of nowhere. I remember an article where Sheff said he couldn’t believe how much she’s improved. I don’t know about that. . . If he would have said that in an article it is an NCAA violation that prohibits discussing any possible recruit before they are actually signed. So, you must be misremembering that article. . .

I did not see any quotes from the Badger coach in that article. The athlete said that the coach said... Is the player lying or making it up? If she said he told her he can’t believe how much she improved then I believe that’s what he told her. Of course it doesn’t say in this article Sheff quoted to the writer of the article that she improved so much because as one said, that’s a no-no. This isn’t Judge Judy where we can allow hearsay and believe the coach said it. Unless you believe he never really said it then we may need to start an investigation. We can grasp straws and I can say, “I never said he was quoted as saying just he said” or we can read the article and say he said it someway, somehow to someone.

Seriously? You’re quoting Sheffield using hearsay from a player? Seriously? Ok. . .

Seriously? You’re quoting Sheffield using hearsay from a player? Seriously? Ok. . . Since we are going to play this game...did I say he was “quoted” as saying or did I say I read in an article that he said? In reading the article do you not come away with that at some point he said he couldn’t believe she improved so much. Come on...we’re all smart people.

If I am understanding what you are saying, Jardine was a sophomore when the rules came into effect. There was only a month and a half that that class was under the new rules.

You wrote, “I remember an article where Sheff said he couldn’t believe how much she’s improved.. . .” That was simply wrong. You read an article that said a kid told the magazine that Sheffield told her she improved. This is not Sheffield saying anything to this magazine. And that was my point, he could not have possibly told the magazine that. . .because that is a recruiting violation Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/post/2301705/quote/74829?page=20#ixzz6CCF33CdI
