I love what i've seen from blossom too. she was forcing the middles a lot for sure. i haven't seen a team feed the middles as much as PSU this season. its still a young team and hopefully they can only get better. i am definitely glad to see holcomb back there playing again.

Gorrell is playing OH? None of the OH recruits could beat her out?

Gorrell is playing OH? None of the OH recruits could beat her out? I noticed that as well. Technically (by rotation), Parker & Cathey were OHs and Gorrell was Opp, but when Parker & Gorrell were in the front row together, Gorrell was on the OH.

It prob has to do with VB IQ and error management and decision making.

I am really liking Blossom. I like where she sets it( close to net to be smashed). Weiskorcher would always set so far off net it drive me nuts. Felt like they were always contacting ball 6-10feet off net last year. Blossom seems to set lower and faster which I prefer. Those high sets allow defenders more time to get over and cover. On one hand lower sets easier to block but if u do it quick it’s harder to cover so trade off. Opponents have to make decisions much faster

In the last few matches the lineup seems to be:
Cathey OH (I think 6 rotations) Parker OH (6 rotations) Gray MB Hord MB Gorrell OPP Blossom S White L
with Holcomb as DS for Gorrell, is this righT?

This seems to make more sense, but Parker and Gorrell switch depending on the rotation they share? At least Rose has Gorrell hit out the middle on some plays, because why not? Not sure why I'm kinda meh on Parker moving to the situational(?) OH spot. She has an arm, sure, but I always find it sad when someone with good hands loses the chance to use them, even on the rather special freak plays. That's just me though, and really, in the long run, not impactful on a team. Hoping White has a good senior sendoff with this even younger team.

Kind of like Megan Courtney, her first two years she was listed as S/OH

Looks like Bailey did go in at one point in that match. So maybe she's fighting her way up the depth chart.

Watching the Hofstra game. What did PSU gain from their preconference kickoff? They could have just scrimmaged themselves 3 times.
