The team's Twitter page has posted some more 90s trivia to both entertain you and make you feel old. I don't blame any of them for not knowing AOL. I grew up in the 90s, and I didn't recognize the logo either. Probably because I haven't seen or thought about one of their CDs in like 15 years or more.

Yeah, I think they're doing a pretty good job marketing the team this year. In case you missed it, there was another round of trivia that featured some of the other players on the team, including Mary Lake. You can find it on the previous page of this thread.

This is mildly amusing and/or may make you feel old, as some of the players on the team weren't even born in the 90s yet. Edit: Their reaction to seeing a young Heather Olmstead (they all call her "Heather," apparently, which I find endearing) is great. Doesn't he say like "Where's the cheese or something?" LOL

She had a nice week. Lake would have been a good option too but Miller really was great last week.

Yea...could have gone either way. Honestly, without either one we would be really hurting. Miller was HUGE, but IMO Lake's role and mental toughness this year should be appreciated much more than it is.
Had a friend that made a comment about BYU volleyball that I think made some sense. She said that this year's coaching staff has had to make some big "trade off" decisions and, for the most part, has been spot on. While I think a bit over simplistic I think it makes sense. When BYU is focused on offense, they play Grimmer (but give up blocking on right side). When the need blocking, they go with Ballard-Nixon (but give up right-side offense). When they need serve-receive they play Dayton (nice platform kid but a definite big) but give up floor defense, when they need floor defense against smaller scrapier teams and are less concerned about serve receive they go with the small DSs (Wee and M. Bower). More I thought about it more it made sense--I also thought that most of these kids referenced were young and will develop and hopefully become more well rounded.

Darnell Dickson at the Provo Herald has written an article noting that Mary Lake is closing in on BYU's career digs record.

BYU just got a nice 2022 commit per social media. If I knew how to post better.... Any way, Kate Prior 6'4 MB from Las Vegas. I have not watched her in person...but my second hand info has been VERY positive.

Sounds like a great get, but I guess I am a little confused with the new recruiting rules, how a sophomore has just committed?

I was at two BYU matches last week, St. Mary's on Thursday and Pacific on Saturday. BYU stories to come about freshman setter Whitney Bower and the remarkable McKenna Miller. Great place to watch a game.
