Seriously, CalPoly lost to Cal, LBSU, LMU, and AZ why isn't anyone talking about dinging them for that but doing so for SCarolina? Because they are / were closer to be on the bubble than COG and Georgia State. Plus Poly beat South Carolina head to Head.

They are arguably the 6 & 7th teams in East with good records. Same as the West teams listed above. CoFC lost a close 2-3 to LSU to end season, if it goes different they are likely in At-Large. Or playing FIU in semis for East #3. Can't get any closer to bubble.

You may not like the AVCA poll but I think the voters have a good handle on the strength of teams. If USC gets the top seed, then South Carolina is likely in. If it’s UCLA, it’ll be Stetson. Even though there’s no rule stating so...balancing the tourney (between the West and East) is a probably a consideration. If Carolina gets in, they won’t win a single fight. I called it!

COFC was in Week 8 / 9 criteria comparisons, and mentioned before and after as long shots. GSU came on late. AZ was only ever mentioned as a long shot, LMU never until they beat Pep. But its different for you since they are West region teams obviously. Feel free to do a criteria comparisons of your own instead.

That's sure going out on a limb. I will bet that whoever gets to 8 seed doesn't win a "fight".

As much as I agree with you that SCarolina shouldn't get in, I do think they are more than capable of winning at least a flight against top teams.

Or playing FIU in semis for East #3. Can't get any closer to bubble. Well, they could if they played and beat some West region teams. I think ASU was one of the few West teams they played and lost 1-4. I think if you want to get in the tournament you have to have some cross-region comparison. Or are you more talking about the being close to the bubble for the East region bid?

Seeding for the tournament:
1. USC 2. UCLA 3. Florida St. 4. Pepperdine (? - kind of confused at this) 5. LSU 6. Cal Poly 7. Hawaii 8. Stetson

Well I didn't guess very well this season I knew the Stetson/FIU was going to be close - curious if FIU got sanctioned or just lost in close comparison. Hawaii vs SCarolina comparison was close also, but I felt more confident in that. At least I got CalPoly right! Best of luck to all the teams!

I hope Scoles can go for the Sandbows. Back injuries typically take a long time to heal. Anyone know the extent of her injury?
