I’m a bit behind on Canada men - where is Gavin Schmitt? Gavin's had way too many bad injuries to be playing internationally at this point in his career. I just hope Sharone doesn't end up the same way, he's already had one serious injury in his young career and was hurt again recently |

I just hope Sharone doesn't end up the same way, he's already had one serious injury in his young career and was hurt again recently He played in the VNL a bit last year but not in the WC. He won a championship in Greece with Olympiakos. He was the first pick taken in the KOVO draft and will play in Korea next season. |

Price Jarman isn’t on the 25 roster. How is this done? If he’s going, that means nobody playing for finals is going back to Europe, which is a stupid schedule btw. On page 2 of this post/thread Price Jarman is listed as a member of the roster - #29 He was on the 30-player roster and got cut. |

Jarman and Hugeman are able to go because of injury exemption. They are not on the 25-player roster. That says Stahl and McDonald are both injured

I think only Brazil and Iran and maybe France wants to compete in the finals. Italy and Poland are not even sending their best available players for the final week. Italy is actually starting their preparations for the Olympic Qualifier July 3rd. The door is open for Canada if they want it.

I legit think VNL will be gone after three years when that Chinese sponsor (that water company listed as Fivbs bigggest sponsor) stops buying ticket for their men’s team (a core team in last place).

Nate Neilson is gonna head coach As I figured, it was a shortage of people on the roster issue that doesn't allow Jaeschke (only Olympian that is there...oof), DeFalco and Jendryk to be back in California preparing for the VNL Finals with the rest of the team (as I assume all will be on that roster) instead of back in Europe playing essentially three meaningless games. Same with Patch...not sure why he is there instead of Ensing. But glad we had four Liberos on the roster!!! |

It is just a ridiculous tournament and it appears to be treated as such this year. The travel is horrendous and the schedule is way too much coming straight off pro seasons. No wonder players are complaining and sitting out. How does it work next year in an Olympic year? Is it taking place? Same schedule? Olympics are early next year |
