Does Hugeman deserve a promotion? He just had fantastic international debut Is āHugemanā intentional š Well lets see. Mcdonnell out with shoulder Stahl out with finger Holt healthy and strong Smith healthy and strong Jendryk healthy and strong Im sure we take Averill over Huhmann at this point. The speed and intensity will be dialed up considerably.

I did not think Langlois would have the highest block touch... That's surprising. Is that accurate?

The speed and intensity will be dialed up considerably. Jendryk/Averill should be left out. Huhmann can drop a strong and stable serve. In a playoff, a destabilizing serve or a block is the difference from winning or losing a game. We don't want to see Patch or Jendryk serving for an important point when no one among the starters are succeeding to get a serve in. That's going to be the case against the two. They just can't serve when the fate of the universe is hanging in the balance.

Iām wondering if neither Jaeschke or DeFalco will be on the finals roster. If Jaeschke has only played two matches in two weeks, does it really make sense to bring him? And if DeFalco needs time off for this apparent leg injury, then Iām switching my bet to Langlois being the 4th OH. God. Lol.
I guess thereās another week or so to name the full roster though right? Maybe I shouldnāt pick Langlois just yet haha.

I still think Jaeschke will be the 4th OH in the Finals but I donāt understand bringing him to Bulgaria to play him against Bulgaria only. Maybe precautionary and maybe a tweak happened and they didnāt chance it...but do you want a guy on the roster that can play once during Finals week and then needs to rest?? Even if itās back in his hometown and heās a core member of the team (but only member that had to go to Bulgaria)?? Will that 4th OH even get off the bench and it really wonāt matter anyway when you have Sander, Russell, and Muagututia (gulp)?? And maybe it has nothing to do with an injury and itās based on performance and they thought Langlois on Saturday > Jaeschke on Friday. So, Iāve talked myself into Langlois having a real shot. If this weekend was an audition for the 4th spot, he did well!

Still definitely in the outside looking in

Okay calm down now... 2020 is still a long shot š Haha! VNL Finals is even still a long shot this year! But possible! Langlois probably never gets off the bench this weekend if DeFalco wasnāt injured. Shows where he was at in the order of OHs. Itās a great problem to have! So, Iāve talked myself into thinking that even though he played well, he wonāt be there next week unless Jaeschke and DeFalco are ruled out. I am intrigued by the idea of Huhmann over Averill. He was impressive. But still feel like theyāll take the veteran.
