Right. she was on her school team who won the state title. But i don't think she played club and I don't think she was the starter for her hs team. I don't really follow club volleyball. But, if she was voted 1st Team All-District one year ago, I'd assume she was a starter in 2022. |

Lovejoy has been such a powerhouse that I could see her being beat out for the starting spot as a senior, especially if she hadn't played club for a year or two. Not saying it happened, but they likely have the depth of talent that it could happen. |

I'm sure she's an amazing player no doubt, but would she be UT vb great? I'm not sure. Possible she just wants to go to school and be a normal student and support her best friend/sister. If she hadn't played club for a year or two, likely that is an indication that she wasn't planning to play volleyball in college. Getting into UT as a regular student means she is an exceptional student, so quite possible she wants to focus on her academics. |

That's why I asked the initial question what anyone knew about her. Figured she could be the next Reilly Heinrich. In the photo where Averi is wearing an actual Longhorns volleyball jersey on her visit, Kalin is wearing a Longhorns volleyball t-shirt. That probably indicates Kalin herself wasn't a recruit visitor, but simply a family member visitor. I had never looked at Kalin's Instagram page until it was posted that Cursty Le Roux had started following her. At first glance, I never saw anything indicating she would be attending Texas; not sure if non-student athletes include that in their social media bios. No biggie. I guess since Kalin has not indicated on social media that she'd be joining Texas volleyball (in any capacity), seems most likely that she won't be. I don't think that Kalin deciding to attend Texas came AFTER Averi decided to transfer to Texas. Kalin most likely accepted a while back. |

Carlson was a DS for Lovejoy, just not the libero (Mckenna Brand, UConn commit played that role), but I would consider her a starter. And she lead the team in aces in the state championship match. I would also define Akana and Wenaas as starters even though they usually aren’t on the floor first but I know some people wouldn’t.

Henley Anderson just got done with a very successful week in Anaheim for the NDTP training. Addy, Abby and Callie were also there and had good weeks from a couple of people I talked to. Saw on instagram Henley posted a picture with CJ but also one with Nebraska assistant coach too. I still feel good about her ending up at Texas. She is an amazing player Great to hear! It sounds like there are a few different TX outsides that could be on our radar in that ‘26 class, although after the ‘25 class, I can’t imagine we take more than 1-2. Glad all our future longhorns had good weeks!! Can’t wait to have them on campus! |

I’m thinking we are not going to pick up a MB transfer. The two top(ish) in the portal are Blackwell and Goetzinger and the coaches follow neither of them.
I do wonder if we get a DS from the portal or not. If not, I wonder if Wenaas or Rutherford are the other to go 6 rotations besides Skinner. Or if Emerick is ready to go in her first year.
