I wonder if a team could join a conference just for one season.

I wonder if a team could join a conference just for one season. I like the thought. But think playing independently against another conference team is a better road to travel. You agree to follow all COVID protocol requirements,...would be a given!

Can the CAL POLY Lady'Stangs beat the #21 UH Wahine in the Spring of 2021??? A question that will go unanswered unless the AD's from both schools make arrangements to allow the teams to compete in an intercollegiate showdown!!! What do you say, guys?

I don't know if the CAL POLY coaches and athletic director follows this forum. Hopefully,...they are following some "critical path" that will ensue a confrontation with UH wahine in the spring of 2021.

In an era of so much speculation I truly wish our schools' "athletic dept's" & Big West Conference directors would be more visible. There needs to be more verbalizing day to day of our teams and the situation.

Jake, I do not know what you want the conference and the school to announce right now. The season has already been cancelled and the COVID cases are very high right now in California. Really nothing to say from week to week because nothing has changed. I am sure the BW schools would like to play a competitive spring season but the teams are not practicing right now so the spring is still in in the air. For example, the UCD womens basketball team has not even played a conference game because of the COVID protocols in their area. Nothing is being said because nothing has changed since the last announcment.

But why then is the other Cali centric conferences still going on with the season? To me, it's more than the Covid counts, perhaps some schools have depleted resources? Then give them a loan. Lack of desire to get the conference going? Afraid of? Seems like they (the conference) can put energy into basketball and whatever sport is next, but not fall, which has more women sports than men in the Big West since we don't sponsor football? There are such things as protective precautions to take, why didn't they go ahead with it and see how far they got? Shortsighted and kind of dismissive if you ask me.

I think you’re just upset Hawaii isn’t playing and letting it cloud your judgement.

If they don’t have the funds to operate an extra sport they don’t have a choice
