Jake, I believe most conference are playing a conference only schedule or a very limited out of conference. There would be very limited opportunities for an independent to play matches. I am really implying if two or more Big West Conference schools wanted to come out and play each other they could set up a pseudo double round-robin tournament. The schools are able to set up scrimmages/exhibitions if they want to. That has nothing to do with the BW or the commissioner.

I applaud you Jake for exposing the Big West and its lack of concern and transparency, but with the official announcement that Spring Sports is greenlit, Fall sports are the sacrifice. And now we know, they will pit one season against others instead of including all of them. That's what this conference has become. Sad.

If I am correct the NCAA will have a postseason tournament at the end of spring 2021 featuring the entire country (some 30 conferences). And,...the Big West Conference will be nowhere insight!!! Poor form for the Conference and an absence of "culpability" from all eleven athletic departments. First the Conference announced Women's VB (a fall 2020 sport) would be postponed until the spring 2021. Than in December 2020 they announced there will be no Women's VB this year,...three months before the spring VB schedule was to start. This entire charade has been a bitter pill to swallow! Not to mention very unfair to our student-athletes.

The MWC has posted,...games to start Feb 4th.

In the Big West Conference,...Men's VB has been approved to play in spring 2021!
Is this an insult for BWC Women's VB who have been denied playing this spring 2021???

Jake, really, how long can you beat the same dead horse. When will the Big West Conference explain why 1 of 32 conferences will not compete in 2021? Don't you even give a damn if LBSU is given a season,...a postseason???

Jake, I have been waiting for this season for three years, ever since Tuaniga gave a verbal, but the season has been cancelled so why should I keep beating the drum. I look forward to a normal season next year and hope LBSU puts it all together right from the start.

The BW Conference rolled over and died with barely a whimper, then went into hiding. No press conferences, no questions, no criticism entertained, no input taken from students, student-athletes, alums, or benefactors. No attempt to show work to retain a season, suggesting they didn't try very hard. Thirty other DIV-I conferences are fighting to find a way. But not the BW. Complaining about Jake's unwillingness to stop beating the BW 'dead horse' kind of makes the point that yes indeed, the BW is a 'dead horse' conference. Jake is beating his drum, hoping to get the 'dead horse' back on its feet. He is not being submissive and servile to BW maladministration. He may not wake them up from their coma, but tip of the hat for trying.

Yes I realize they are not paying the bills. But, Women's VB was never a money-maker to begin. When you stop competing you die! Right now that is the state of many of our member schools.

Any word from anyone about CAL POLY's three current seniors.
Will Maia Dvoracek, Jamie Shiver & Madilyn Mercer return as 5th year seniors or postgrad students in fall of 2021?
