Illinois is interested in Mosser, would be cool to see her move to the big 10. Which mosser? Jenny Mosser, UCLA.

Anyone go to the banquet last night? notpriddy? I really wanted to go hear the senoir farewell speeches or whatever but was away on business. I couldnt stay for the speeches on senior day because the match ran so long and I was with relatives plus had to get started on Thanskgiving so only caught part of it but Beth seemed really appreciative and emotional. Was curious what Jackie had to say.

She is short, but has good hops and is a pretty good blocker. Her role was inconsistent over the years, but a stable environment (without constantly changing setters) and good coaching will benefit her greatly.

She was a top 10 recruit coming out of high school. Her height is not an issue. She was not utilized properly at UCLA (shocker), but could do very well on the right team + with a good coach. Illinois would be lucky to have her.

Mosser is applying to grad schools currently. She intends to play volleyball so had to enter to portal in order to talk to coaches but volleyball isn't her primary motivation. She is also looking into remaining in Westwood for grad school (although for academic reasons this probably isn't the best option). If she does remain at UCLA, Sealy & co will welcome her back with open arms. All this is to say that, as a grad transfer, it's going to be more complicated and will depend on academics more than volleyball.

Lollll I know you were kidding but she's a psych major. Stanford would be an excellent grad school if she wants to continue in that. They've been #1 for decades.
ETA: Michigan is another top choice. They're tied for #3 in USNWR and have also been a top psychology program for decades. Illinois is #7 and MN tied for #8 so they'd be good choices too.

Was curious what Jackie had to say. I was there. Very nice turnout. Not the same without Dave Loane. Nice speeches by the seniors (they had Quade on video). Lots of thankyous from each. We are incredibly lucky to have the staff and the athletes that we have. Really nice people and incredible students. New freshman Whittington (sp) was there.
