Are those AVCA regions as silly as the USAV regions?

Probably but it's still fun.

Just FYI: How can I watch an ESPN3 event? If you have already verified your TV provider, you will be able to navigate and watch all available content. If a lock icon appears next to your content, you will need to verify your account. Non-participating TV provider customers may have access to ESPN3 programming online at www.espn.com/watch/, as long as they subscribe to a participating high speed internet service provider. Users accessing the URL above or the ESPN mobile app (Android or iOS) via an on-campus (.edu) or on-base (.mil) network receive complimentary access to ESPN3 content.

Did they bus all the way there (6hr drive)?? Bummer, if so. I knew someone who lived in Lincoln NE and went to see relatives in Minneapolis often, He said that the time from house to hotel he saved 1 hr by flying.

If you carry-on and don't go to the airport obscenely early (which, it's Lincoln Neb, so I doubt the airport is busy), then there's no way this is remotely true.
Also, Gophers vball usually charter a flight, not fly commercial. So that saves a bunch of time.

That would be just silly to charter flights, but then make them bus to Omaha.

The reason for busing is money. However, a side benefit is that they will have less exposure. Taking the plane will require transport to the airport - possible exposure, and bus to the hotel as well - another possible exposure. Those two extra transport vehicles will be used by others a well being more likely to have contamination than the charter bus and one bus driver they will be using. There is much less risk of Covid.

Maybe the NCAA rented a fleet of buses to shuttle teams from the airport. They could have flown but still needed a way to get to their final destination.
On an unrelated note, I know not everyone liked them, but I wonder if we’ll get to see the sleeveless uniforms again. I liked how sleek and snazzy they were. They had a real championship tournament vibe to them.

Did they bus all the way there (6hr drive)?? Bummer, if so. NCAA pays for flights for trips over 400 miles. Looks like Minneapolis to Omaha is 383 miles. They could've paid for the flight themselves, but probably not worth it to save a couple hours. Not to mention, when you have a volleyball team on a 50+ seat bus, everybody gets two seats (if not an entire row). For tall people, that gives a lot more leg room than every seat being full in a little 30-person chartered flight.

If not, they'd still have busses to get around each day.

If not, they'd still have busses to get around each day. I don't know where all the teams are staying. There are four convention-center style hotels across the street from the Arena, plus another half dozen regular hotels within three or four blocks. Depends how much walking a team wants their players & staff doing down there. If I had the choice, as a coach, I'd bus them just to be safe.
