Anybody know how to save/print .pdf copies of Gopher volleyball season tickets from the My Account page? I tried to transfer to myself, but that did not work...got an error message.

I don’t believe you can print them. All digital this year. See the 2021 thread for a long discussion on the topic and tips/tricks others have found.

What I would like to know is what is gained by not allowing fans to print their own tickets? A bar code is a bar code, no?

Not sure promoting cellphone manufacturing is environmentally friendly. AND they could just have a recycling bin there at the door if that was a concern.

But they are scanning it. I assume that means it can only be scanned once.
No idea if scalping is a concern, so maybe you're on to something there. Still seems like overkill.

Exactly… they’re scanning it once, so only one person with the barcode could get in. But I could sell twenty or thirty copies of that barcode, and then the U has to deal with 19 or 29 ticked off scalpees at the entrance gate.

"But the guy who re-sold the ticket said it was legit!" seems like a pretty laughable complaint.
Caveat emptor or carpe diem. I forget.

I find myself having trouble working up much enthusiasm for this fall's 2021 Gopher VB season. A few years ago Coyle talked about the Gophers drive toward a nat'l title, "which will come," he once said in an interview, but my gut feeling is that they're slightly regressing. I hope I'm wrong. Am I?

I don't think they are regressing. But I do think the gap is closing. Teams like Purdue and Ohio State are definitely progressing.
IF they are healthy -- for the first time in three seasons -- they could be very very good. However, one injury to a key starter and it's going to be another slog. They are good at slogs, but it ain't pretty to watch.

Can we move the 2021 fall season discussion to the 2021 thread so this 2020/2021 spring thread doesn’t keep getting bumped?

I have to agree with Ruffda. One injury and/or health issue and we are in for another long season. I think the writing has been on the wall for some time now. The coaches have been trying to piece together a competitive team for the past few years. I always wondered how and why we got to this point.
There is so much emphasis on highly recruited players who become 4 year starters.....but in reality, does it help or hurt a program, for future recruiting? I personally feel this program has really struggled filling the shoes of SSS. If it wasn't for the healthy days of Miller during her season as a Gopher, that year would not have been as successful as it was.
We are back to, as many say, "putting all your eggs in one basket", with the recruiting of Shaffmaster. And again there doesn't appear to be another highly recruited setter on the horizon to follow in her footsteps. Why? I feel a lot of our success this season will depend on her development and the overall health/injury of this team.
