Wenaas has a variety of shots that most impressed me. In transition or out of system she hit line, roll shots that were pretty well disguised, and sharp 4. Smart player.
Landfair didn’t have it tonight, but presumably it as a fluke.
Shaffmaster didn’t jump set in warm ups to the pins but did during the match. I’ll be very interested to see how ready she is with spring training.

6' 4" is too tall for high level setting. Fewer OOS balls she'll be able to take overhand, jump setting's much more limited, and slower movement as already mentioned. Could always be a first at that height but doubt it. Don’t tell Lloy Ball 6’ 4” is too tall to set. |

Should Miyabe transfer to another school for more playing time? IMO, No. Minnesota was her dream school and it took her 2 years to get here. I believe she will stay and that McCutcheon will find a way to get her on the floor more. If she doesn't stay, its because of opportunities at home (Japan). |

If she doesn't stay, its because of opportunities at home (Japan). hmm but I think she could be on the starting lineup on other teams.. what a waste of talent. I have been watching her since she was in high school and when she was with the Japanese national team. Yes took 2 years because she was not ready to take college classes in English right out of high school and not because she lacked in volleyball talent or skills. |
