Turkey is more dangerous in Tokyo then the Dutchies were in Rio. Guidetti doing this without Ebrar in the lineup. He has the rest of this club season and the VNL to get her in peak form. A productive Ebrar will make Turkey very dangerous. And add in Vargas for 2024 and Turkey may have a real shot at a gold.

Ebrar is still just 19 and growing into her body. Her passion and fierce competitiveness when channeled puts her potential in the super star class. She is a child of Guidetti's creation and he is stellar at producing stars.

Poland could've and should've won this tournament. Good for Turkey though, we'll see which version of them shows up to Tokyo

Crazy. Guidetti does it again. On paper, a pin trio of Baladin/Ismailoglu/Boz should not have gotten it done this week, but he got everything he could out of them. And Erdem was huge; she consistently leads her country. Turkey should put her on a stamp.

I don't think Russia would have qualified out of this tournament. Russia is very lucky the FIVB World Rankings system is messed up enough that they got to host a qualifier pool and they didn't get a floater more dangerous than Korea (who did nearly take them out). Either way, gunning for 4th in the pool is not a great spot to be in.

Turkey is in Pool B no matter what. The rest all comes down to Dominican Republic/Puerto Rico match DR wins, they're in Pool A and Argentina in Pool B. This will be flipped if Puerto Rico wins USA should be in a good spot to medal if they finish either second or third in the pool. To me the crossover will depend on which Brazil shows up
