The wildcats garnered another SEC title capturing season and another sweet 16 finish in 2019. They return a very good amount of production although replacing the all time kills leader will be difficult. Luckily they have the personal to do this I’m going to go ahead and say that they have the most pin depth in the entire country. Stumler, Both Skinners, Tealer, Rutherford, and Fischer are all very dynamic and terminal. Coach will have plenty of options. Also returning is who is in my opinion the best setter in the country along with a top 5 libero. They also return an amazing DS in Lauren Tharp. Between Tharp, Stumler, and Curry, the passing should be excellent. With this kind of ball control it allows Lilley to distribute the ball all over the court to the wonderful set of weapons she has at her disposal. The middle is probably the wildcats biggest weakness going into the new season. I look for Gabby Goddard to be Meyers replacement and for Kendall Paris to contribute a little bit more this season. This is Lilley and currys last season and they are both deserving and capable of leading this team to a final four. With the way they have been recruiting lately kentucky isn’t ever going to go away but I think if they want to win a national championship this would be the year they need to do it. I anticipate they use this as a redshirt year for Fischer to allow her to develop and free up a little bit of the log jam on the pins. Avery Skinner will he first off the bench to replace any of the 3 pin hitters in case they struggle. Rutherford could also take over the right side from Tealer. This team has the depth and experience to win the SEC and make a deep tourney run. (Apologize I don’t know how to do anything flashy with the page) My expected starting line up come august is as follows OH1 Stumler OH2 Younger Skinner M1 Paris M2 Goddard S Lilley Opp Tealer DS Tharp for Tealer Lib Curry

Sorry but they couldn't get it done with Edmond. I don't see it happening without her.

She's also been the main terminator for 4 years in a row. I wouldn't bet on that being in any way easy to replace.

I just think that with the pins they do have returning they can make up for the lost production. Especially with the passing and setting core they have

I am not sure that a team with Goddard and Paris as the starting MBs can make the Sweet 16, let alone the Final Four. Kentucky is absolutely loaded at the pins, and Lilley is elite. Curry is very good. I just don’t know that a team that is going to be incredibly reliant on the pins will be successful against great competition, especially when one of the pins (at least) will be manned by a freshman (even though she is absolutely a baller). Paris was okay against SEC middles. Goddard hit .100 in her 14 sets of action. I think the “taking it to the Final Four” talk might just need to wait a bit.

Well they could use Fischer in the middle if it gets bad. I think with all 3 pins firing and also the way they use the bic will be enough

The middle blocker position has been Kentucky’s biggest weakness for a few years now. Have yet to find a pair of middles as productive as Kaz Brown and Emily Franklin were together. Not sure what to expect from them at that spot, but it’s possible for any of UK’s four middles to start next year. I also think Rutherford has a chance at starting Opp for them. That’s just another layer to the depth they have at the pins.

I'm hoping Avery Skinner can translate to OPP. She is a good blocker.
What about Bell in the middle? Has anyone seen her play?

Who follows Lilley would just be a matter of balancing the offense much like how they moved Leah around a few years ago. Rutherford can play defense, but haven't seen her pass bc she sets in club too. The second middle spot seems to be the wildcard assuming that Paris is one of the two.
