Purdue is suspending classes indefinitely after Spring Break until possibly May. Will that affect the Spring schedule at all? Given  I would Assume so. No sarcasm, just sourcing. |

I did not see that post. Thanks for showing that to me. I liked Maddy Chinn a lot. I hope that all three Maddie’s get more playing time next season. I would hate for any of them to leave due to not enough playing time. |

Didn’t see it reported on here but Megan Renner tore her ACL a couple of months ago. Purdue might be without a backup in the fall if she’s not recovered

Ouch. Having gone through that recovery - I feel for her. Tough break to redshirt then redshirt again? she will be an academic junior before seeing the court. She can apply for a waiver.
With Chen graduating and Renner out - leaves 0 setters if Bush goes out. Bringing in a backup setter is a tough sell.

Even if Renner doesn't make it back for the fall season, I'm still hopeful with this group. Bush has two years of experience as the starting setter under her belt. She understands the responsibilities she has to carry.
Also, this is the same coaching staff that turned Ashley Evans, who was recruited as an outside hitter, into a rather respected setter. I'm sure, if needed, they could train a back-up should Renner not be ready to go.
