Purdue still plans to have an audience for football games. They plan to only open at 50% capacity. Can that also mean that they will let an audience watch volleyball games? I would hate to miss a season of volleyball. Hopefully season ticket holders have a chance to renew. http://instagr.am/p/CBmIRq2DKs3 There's your answer! 😁 I am soooo excited. Awesome. Hopefully they give season renewals first priority.

If we say that Cleveland is an opposite - we return literally 1 middle with experience - Oh and 1 setter as well. One injury away from an absolute disaster.
Luckily, this is Bush's 4th season with collegiate conditioning and she has shown to be resilient but man - kinda scary.
Cleveland is an All-American opposite and with 3 middles, I don't think she is going back to the middle. Her back court game will continue to evolve and and i see even more potential for her. Even last year you can see that her footwork and ball anticipation was off - something i am sure she has refined and she is going to be solid for this team.
Newton as senior will be fun to watch. This coaching staff has just an awesome way of developing players. Mohler, Atkinson, Adelaja (so many more), now Newton - all come in with talent but they seem to just get so much better at the end of their careers its awesome to witness.
With 4 middles on the roster and Cleveland - do you think they could do what Michigan did a little while ago and do a 3 middle system?
Stay healthy and this team is scary. They were the number one passing team in 2019 that returns everyone with a 4th year setter.
Regarding Johnson - she's virtually a lock to get in the starting rotation. I have always been high on her - came in a little under the radar but has competed and has impressed.

Adelaja was a monster.

Hopefully they do not do any sort of libero play experiment again this season. I think Hornung was a lot steadier than Otec.

Hopefully they do not do any sort of libero play experiment again this season. I think Hornung was a lot steadier than Otec. It wasn't actually an experiment. It has been often said that Otec outplayed Hornung in the spring, that's why she won the libero jersey in the fall. To be fair, she was actually a really strong player in left back. Hornung happens to be the better receiver. But it's great to see that Purdue has two excellent defenders that are constantly pushing each other for that jersey. And they have great communication and chemistry on the court. I think we struggle the most when Otec or Hornung is on the bench for those three rotations.

Smart move. Renner tore her ACL so I doubt she is ready to practice with the B squad and is the only other setter, right?
