They just sent their cancellation out a few minutes ago. There goes the season and nationals. What does this have to do with nationals? With LSC being in the DCC, same as nationals, and no bid process announced for regions, I doubt nationals happens.

So which tournaments are still on the books? JVA Word Challenge. GJNC. Indy Cup. What else?

would you make Nationals at large only .... because most qualifiers never happened and most regions are not playing regionals at all
just end the season, because team camp for HS (if that season makes) will be in June and July and maybe have some small tourneys or club created camps for revenue

The lack of qualification will be extremely low on the list of why the tournament would be cancelled.

Plus wouldn't that interfere with nationals in a normal year? And considering Texas is a hot bed of clubs I'm thinking getting teams won't be an issue. Even if it's on a smaller scale.

I read on one of the threads that USAV had already started handing out At-Large bids for Nationals. Everyone has their own levels of risk they are willing to take, so, if Nationals move forward, the clubs that deem the risk acceptable will go. Those that are not comfortable will not.

I wonder how they are determining who gets an At-Large bid. I thought the criteria was that you had to play in a NQ in the division you were seeking an At-Large bid and have a competitive finish (something of that nature). The majority of teams never played in an NQ since the only completed qualifier was Sunshine, right?

I do not know, but a guess would be that the regions hand them out based on Current Standings, or maybe previous finishes at Nationals. Purely presumption.

From a FB post (Apr 24):
JNC events moving forward: The BJNC and GJNC are still scheduled to be played as originally scheduled. USAV is looking at contingencies should this suspension of insurance go longer than expected or states not allowing the group events of this size. It is their goal to hold these events at the request of many clubs that have said they want to attend. However, the first priority in any play is safety of all those participating, spectating and operating the events. Please note that USAV can’t cancel the events this far out as part of their contract with the facilities. If they voluntarily cancel their events, they will lose their deposits. These deposits can range up to $200k per venue. If the state/city/facility/insurance company cancels or does not allow the event to happen then their deposits are refundable. These are the options to fill the outstanding bids should the events take place as scheduled. Boys – All but one Bid Tournament was held prior to the shutdown. If the East Coast Championships is not rescheduled, the bids that were to be filled at the tournament will be filled by the At-Large process. Girls – the following Options to fill bids were presented at the Jr. Assembly online call to reps. Option 1 – IF RESCHEDULED QUALIFIERS TAKE PLACE – extra Open and USA bids will be distributed to the remaining Qualifiers to award, additional bids will go to At-Large. American bids from cancelled Qualifiers will be reallocated to the Regions. Region National and American bids will be distributed as planned. Option 2 – IF NO MORE QUALIFIERS TAKE PLACE – bids already won will remain in place, all other teams will self-select their division of play and the USAV Seeding Committee will make final decisions if divisions are oversubscribed. Option 3 – IF NO MORE QUALIFIERS TAKE PLACE - bids already won will remain in place, all remaining bids will be distributed to the Regions based on qualification from 2019. (A question was asked about this – if a team had a bid in 2019 for a 16s team would that bid now be for a 17s team? – the answer was yes.)

Well pretty much guaranteed that college coaches won't be at any June events.
D1 is in a dead period now until June 30th.
D2 is in a quiet period until June 30th.
These may change according to NCAA.
