“We need ventilators, we need testing kits, the population needs financial relief”. Congress, “Ok, but not without the Kennedy Center getting $25 million and other Art projects getting $75 million.” I thinking Mark Cuban might make a good President. If Jack Bauer isn’t available. That funding is something like 0.002% of the bill. It's because places like the Kennedy Center need to pay their employees and are government agencies so they're not included in normal SBA/Fed/Treasury bailouts. There was other pork barrel stuff in the bill but people still need their paychecks. Now, the Kennedy Center is furloughing employees regardless of receiving funding. That's the shameful part.

Everyone should have a stockpile, home, city, county, state, federal, and even some type of international one. But how many of the aforementioned have one, and would it be adequate for this pandemic. Even if you have a stockpile, do you have the correct items in the stockpile and what size do you need. Time causes degradation of the stockpile items also. Lots of finger pointing going on, but its easy to let your guard down when major pandemics only show up every 100 years. If this would have happened four years ago, I don't see why the stockpile issue would have been much different.

Well, maybe not. The reason is because we keep giving tax breaks we can't afford. There isn't any money.
Regardless, the point here is that this admin seems more concerned with PR and re-writing history than they do with actually helping the country deal with the problem. That is shameful.

I just can’t help thinking $100 million could be put to better use. And I’m an arts crusader. Lots of people need to pay their employees. Ridiculous the Kennedy Center was singled out.

Funding pork barrel items in an unrelated bill is a problem, and sometimes it's a way to actually fix a problem. It happens both ways--L'Oreal in Kentucky for example--and it happens way too often. The complete failure of the large scale testing efforts is the big scandal. It has made things so much worse.

On of the main things this has taught me is that the Trump Administration is even more corrupt and incompetent than I ever imagined.

The $100 million Inauguration Fund didn't give it away earlier?

They also have a huge endowement in place and for a party to hold a bill ransom to support such stupidity while businesses are going broke shows the complete lack of awareness.

The $100 million Inauguration Fund didn't give it away earlier? does that add up to the 94 million dollars spent on the Mueller report and many more millions on impeachment. He will win another term because of people like so many of you on this board who consider yourselves to be just a little bit smarter, better, and more 'woke,' than those average dirty wal mart workers. Those people who have the choice to get off their backsides and change the world but sit at their computer and gripe instead about how,'corrupt,' this administration is while their party ran with a bogus Russian narrative for three years. Pat yourselves on the back. You are what has made him such a giant success. But you guys can't take all the credit, a large portion must go the media for being so blantantly hostile in their hate of this President. In November I will thank each of you personally for helping us with this campaign.

Its rates about the same as your mothers basement.

I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so that when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.”
His own words. But there are still people who believe what he says. People who still fall for it every single time.

The odd thing about holiday is that I have bent over backwards to try to understand where he is coming from, but he has shown no interest in understanding where I am coming from. It's just bias, hate, and bitterness over losing.
Anyhow, try as I might, I still can't understand why people like holiday support a man who time after time proves that he is only concerned with Donald J. Trump. Nothing else.
And now his incompetence is killing Americans.

Trump accurately reflects what holiday is. Trump may or not actually believe everything that he says, but he knows many of his supporters do. holiday was Trump on this board before Trump was really a thing.
But deep down, holiday knows this thing is going south in a hurry. He can't be that dumb, can he?
