For some reason, I thought that was saying Korea wasn't going to play in the VNL or Olympics. I'm assuming now it is referring to just those two players, I didn't google translate the article.

So they're 24 and getting banned from the Olympics for bullying in elementary school a decade ago? Wow. it's more than "bullying" and I wish the reports didn't use that word -- bullying is practically day to day life of school in America but what they did was threatening people with a knife, etc. which goes beyond your regular school bullying.

So they're 24 and getting banned from the Olympics for bullying in elementary school a decade ago? Wow. There is a huge bullying problem in schools in Korea. Korea takes things like this extremely seriously, and I'd imagine the public wants for this to be taken seriously as well to make an example and say "this is what happens to people who are bullies". Also, based upon what people are saying, I wouldn't be surprised if they were bullying people up until recently. They both grew up pretty entitled from what I understand. Both parents were athletes, with the mother having played in the olympics as a setter for Korea.

So it's going to be Dominican Republic vs. USA so it seems.

Also, I wish they didn't call this bullying -- threatening people with knives is criminal behavior and goes beyond simple "bullying".

At least if I were Karch, I'd rather play against Korea than DR.... (no offense intended I just think it's a style match-up issue)

Korea won't see the light of day in pool play especially with what happened now.

It's pretty disgusting behavior that surpasses simple bullying. I can't believe they would try and go up against KYK lol. To go up against someone with that level of experience, talent, and respect from the volleyball community is just stupid. She probably wasn't even bullying them. Probably said something to keep them in line. If KYK tells you to do something you say yes ma'am and do it. That's like if LeBron told you to do something and you said "omg stop being mean ur bullying me"

Wow. Pool A gets even easier. And the Dominicanas celebrate. Thailand wishing they went against South Korea without the twins for the Asian Olympic Qualifier. Lavarini and KYK's job was already hard, now this happens it makes you wonder if they still want to go forward. Ummm turn down a chance to compete at the Olympics? I think it's not a question.

Korea won't see the light of day in pool play especially with what happened now. I agree with this (and my opinion won't change even if they do let the Lee twins back in -- the team chemistry is ruined) but I meant out of Korea (pre-scandal) and DR. USA would have better chances against Korea.

I've watched some variety shows that Kim went on... she doesn't hold back and just roasts everyone (even her best friends) "Oh X can't play defense" and as the captain that may be her responsibility to keep everyone else in line. Plus she is (was) literally so much better than everyone else -- just look at London 2012

Have no idea what KYK did or did not do to her teammates, but let's not act like star players should be exempt from the same rules of civility that everyone should abide to.

It seems that also Yeum Hye-Seon (the other Korean NT's setter) has some locker room issues with her teammates and with her coach in KGC. linkA lot of work for Lavarini.
