Also, will Mihajlovic be healthy at Tokyo? Or at the least be ready to be a terminal player? If not, I don’t see how Serbia can win. Sure, they have Boskovic, Rasic can help, but who else? Italy at least had players to support Egonu. As does China with Zhu. Zhang Changning has not been good at all. Hopefully she improves or we see Li Yingying starting opposite Zhu.
Zhu+Gong alone is probably enough to beat Russia, Turkey, and Argentina but not much more.
I like China’s middle duo, and I hope Li Yingying continues to improve. Yeah, I was shocked to see Zhang’s numbers against Japan the other day. Hopefully who ever plays opposite Zhu will be ready, but I trust Lang Ping will work something out. She always does

Also bosko looks better than ever Hopefully, even Maja at times looked off during CL. I would just hate to see another team with Bosko underachieve, I felt BAD for her at Ezca this season

The Japanese people really do not want this Olympics…just not a good situation all-around.

The Japanese people really do not want this Olympics…just not a good situation all-around. I wonder what the polling was like pre-Covid (if they wanted the games). I don’t think it’s abnormal for locals to not want the Olympics. It completely shuts down the city for 2.5 weeks. And if you aren’t a sports fan, it’s just a nuisance.

Also, the Japanese line about it not being up to them and passing the buck onto the IOC is nonsense. They could absolutely say “nobody is allowed in” and there would be nothing the IOC could do about it.
But of course Japan would want financial assistance from the IOC, or another delay to 2022, or a promise to host in 2032. But all of those are terrible options for the IOC so there’s no way they’ll agree to any of those. But ultimately, Japan still has the ability to cancel if they want.
