volleyball.it has been doing this for close to 20 years. The column on the left is done deals. The "Acquisti" column is rumor until they put it in bold. "Cession" is similar - when the transfer is confirmed they will switch to bold.

I've never heard of Mackenzie Adams for Conegliano before. Can anyone share more info about her? She is a UTSA alum. I just fixed her position. In Italian schiacciatrice or "S" stands for spiker or OH not Setter. She played for Schweriner last season in the German Bundesliga. She must be doing something right to be on Santareli's radar. The fact that he is looking at both Bartsch-Hackley and Adams has me really thinking Kim Hill might actually transfer which baffles me. I don't know why she wouldn't just stay another year and then retire after Tokyo.

So do you trust the validity of this site? I can't even imagine what means in this case. It was one of the first websites dedicated to volleyball in Europe. It's still here. I guess I'd say it's "valid."

I am pretty sure Novara's line up next season will look like: S: Hancock OPP: Smarzek OH: Herbots, C. Bosetti MB: Chirichella, Washington L: Sansona
Very balanced team and with a coach like Larvalini, they could be very strong. The only question mark is Smarzek, she did not have a great season this year in Bergamo. It remains to be seen if she can return back to her peak form.

The rumors of which players teams were shopping was fairly accurate from what I saw. They seemed to have an inside track on some of the rumors.

She didn't have a great season at Bergamo due to the erratic placement of the setters she played with both in 2018/19 and 2019/20. Hancock will be the best setter she has worked with the one exception being Wołosz. Washington will have to be careful and play well because Bonifacio is a solid and faster middle. If anything Chirichella and Washington are more similar and could be fighting it out for that spot. I can see Lavarini shuffling back and forth between the three of them. Arrighetti should transfer or retire because if she stays on the team she will likely never see any playing time.

There's a pretty big difference between Chirichella & Washington, and a smaller difference between Washington & Bonifacio. Arrighetti can still do what Bonifacio does - I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have Arrighetti. Chirichella & Washington is an interesting combination as both played the M1 last season. In that combo Washington would almost have to play the M1 because she's not a very good M2. It seems like you are wasting some of Chirichella's talent putting her in the M2... I don't think I'm a big fan of this group of middles. The best combo is probably Chirichella at M1 and Arrighetti at M2. Any way you slice it, it's a big drop from Veljkovic to any of these new transfers.
