Yes, in general, all foreign players who left before the end of the season (before the League canceled) terminated their contracts. However, depending on the team, and the agents, players could negotiate, and sign a new contract. Players were offered 70% of their contract if they wanted to be released early. Now what if the player were told to go home? Karsta Lowe was on an IG Live and from what I got from her comment was that she was told to go home? Now if she's told this, or anyone for that matter, is that breaking contract?

Did she say who told her to go home? I'm guessing it was not her team or the League?
All players were supposed to stay in self-isolation and be "available" to their respective teams should the League play resume. When the situation in Italy, and around the world started to get worse, some players were asked home by either their National Team's governing body or their country's government. The players were presented with the offer to break their contracts with their respective teams for the reduced pay (the 70% seemed to be universal across the League). Some players asked to be released from their contract shortly after the offer was made, and others stayed around for a while in hopes that the League would resume or cancel (in which the League would have to pay them in full). They were told the League would decide if they were going to cancel on April 3rd (most players ended up going home before then). Then, the League announced the cancellation on around April 7th (I didn't follow the exact date). I think there was only a handful of foreign players that were still there when the announcement came.

(Bergamo, Cuneo, Filottrano, Brescia) Will Bergamo even have money for a team this year? That area was hit particularly hard by COVID-19. I hope all are safe. Wishing Annie gets picked up.

Rachael Adams is in conversations with Busto Arsizio according to the link in the original post. Looks like she is considering heading back over seas next season. I think this is good move for her!

I had a chance to talk to Penn State and Team Usa's Haleigh Washington about Serie A1, Russ Rose, Karch and Tokyo. Check it out at:

Updated the rosters from the website. I went through and cleaned it up a bit so it's a bit more reader friendly.
Novara is looking VERY stacked this season. Lots of young talent AND Lavarini taking over the helm will make this team exciting to watch. Hell.....he practically brought several of the best players from Busto Arsizio last season with him.

This is not meant to be a dig at Rachael Kramer but I am a little surprised she’s in consideration for the Italian league this early in her professional career.

If she lands on that team it would be really something. They will play in Champions League next year. Not a bad landing for her. Did she just graduate?

I thought she developed rather quickly at florida, so I can only imagine how much quicker she’ll develop with some much higher level coaching and constant training. She always seemed like a great girl, so I hope she does well.

I really want to see her play with a competent setter.... not to dig at the florida setters but I felt every time I watched them she was always underset, having to slap at the ball rather than swing.

She is freakin tall. 6'8"!!! But how is her lateral movement? Not like her 6'8 counterpart Dana Rettke. I'd compare her movement more to the kind of Merete Lutz... But Kramer is much improved over the years, so could get better.

The teams are starting to take shape. Many have close to full rosters. I find it interesting that some teams are only going with 1 Libero and 3 Middles. I worry it is due to budget cuts from COVID ending the last season. The only team with a full 14 player roster is Conegliano. Several more have 13 and quite a few more just have 12 which is a good thing for everyone getting some court time but a bad thing for potential injuries.
