Also, what is up with Casalmaggiore? Only 6 players signed and not many in negotiations. Anyone have any clue what's going on with the club? They lost their main sponsor, Pomi tomato products, last month. A replacement hasn't been announced as far as I know.

What's happening with the players already signed with the team?

Many think she didn't feel safe returning during a Pandemic. She likely will retire and pursue her career as a Veterinarian.

Trentino appears to be staying in A2 and with Filottrano still not having any sign of adding any players, the league looks like 13 teams strong. I will be making some final predictions in a reserved post just past the listed rosters on the first page of the thread once the last few slots are filled if the teams roster isn't finalized already. Only two teams (Conegliano and Scandicci) have 14 players on their rosters. Many teams are going with 2 setters, opposites and liberos, 4 outside hitters and only 3 middle blockers.

It would appear they got another one. The roster is nearly full now! Yeah the club was never in danger, it's just that their budget took a hit. It looks like they just made their 2nd sponsor, E' Piu' (milk products), into the title sponsor.

I'm very curious which teams are in the top 5 in your opinion now that the rosters are coming together.

Final registration for teams participating in A1 and A2 is coming up in a couple of days. I still haven't found a starting date for the league yet.
I am also curious if Busto Arsizio will play in the Super Cup or if it will be Novara? Whoever it is will face Conegliano.

They access, in priority order: - Vincente Scudetto; - Winner of the Italian Cup; - Winner of the Regular Season, in the event that the same team has won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, but not the Regular Season; - Italian Cup final loser, in the event that the same team has won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Regular Season. This is from Imoco's site... By that I would guess Busto Arsizio.

They played in the Italian Cup and were the runners up in 2020 not 2019. Novara won the Italian Cup in 2019 but Imoco won the Super Cup, Regular season and the Scudetto that year but they lost to Novara in Champions League. I am actually glad if it is Novara. It will be a more competitive match. Poulter's team just doesn't have enough elite players on it to even touch Conegliano IMO. I think breaking into the top 4 this season will be a task. Monza and Novara are both WAY stronger this season on paper. Scandicci is also about the same if not slightly better too.

Oops I meant to delete the 2018/2019 part... that's not relevant to determining who will be in the Super Cup ... just the order of determination is. Unless the league/federation changes those sets of rules cause of Covid

Back to strongest line-ups now that the last few teams have formed:
Casalmaggiore: Lloyd, Bajema, Partenio, Stufi, Melandri, Rosamaria and Sirressi.
Having lost their original sponsor, the team is still signing players. Cese Montalvo is either here or still with Uralocka NTMK in Russia. I was hoping Carcaces would stay too but that is still up in the air. Stufi and Melandri is a solid domestic pair of middles and should produce for the team if the passing is there. Lloyd and Rosamaria played together at Dentil/Praia Clube in the 2018/19 season and should mesh well together. I predict Rosamaria will get set a TON. I am hoping Bajema gets the starting nod but that will depend on which other OH's get signed since there are just two of them currently. I think this team will barely make the play-offs and is solidly in the middle of the league. I don't expect them to crack the top 5.
