I just added a poll to the thread. It expires after the 4th week of play that way we can see these teams in action before making final 4 predictions. Playoff Structure: www.tvf.org.tr/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2020-2021_sultanlar_playoff_catali.pdfIf I understand that link correctly the top 8 teams after the regular season will enter into two SEPARATE brackets? So only the top 4 regular season teams will have a shot at the league title? Correct me if I am wrong. In the past it was the ALL of the top 8 teams that had a shot at the title. I feel like this is an attempt to have as short of a season as possible in order to reduce COVID issues. Why no GALATASARAY HDI SİGORTA in your poll?

Boskovic 27 pts Thompson 20 pts Wish there was a stream! I guess Thompson played at OH? She’s definitely not playing opposite. From the few pictures on Instagram, it looks like she and Hande Baladin were playing OH, but Fatma (can’t remember her last name) was also pictured. Maybe she and Baladin split time? Or maybe she and Thompson did?

Kind of like how Robinson did for Hill during the years leading up to the OG in 2015-2016.

It would appear that I underestimated Galatasaray a bit. Looks like they will be contenders again this year. That means that the top of the league is probably 6 teams deep at LEAST. I still need to see the 4 new editions to the league in action before including them in any predicitons.

I don't know of many, if any teams, that dictate what players can do in their free time (though each team has their own rules). I don't think Nilufer is any different from most of the teams. I know players on several other teams as well, and I know that they haven't been restricted in their free time. Definitely, some players are a little more social than "social distancing", but the teams are considered a cohort group because they are in close contact with each other. They don't all live together and they still have to go out to get groceries etc. (and masks are mandatory in Turkey in public). It might be a lot to ask players to never go out after many months with a team, especially the ones who may have family and friends in the area. Unless a team can afford to sequester players together (like the NHL) is doing, it is almost impossible to dictate what they do outside of their job 24/7. The hope is that they are being as safe as possible, and that they take the pandemic seriously, but they can catch the virus in any number of ways. I don't think vilifying the Nilufer players is warranted because I guarantee that any team could find themselves in a similar situation. As it is, I have heard that some of the other teams in the League have had players test positive, but it hasn't been officially reported. We will have to see if there are more teams that have players test positive and are reported. Perhaps, the teams or League will impose further restrictions as a result of this outbreak? NBA Basketball is attempting to do that. For a few weeks. NBA brought back 22 teams. After less than a month it’s now down to 16 then cut in half every 10 days after that. No major leagues (to my knowledge) have had players isolate in a bubble for a full regular season. I don’t think any athletes would agree to it. I think the WNBA is playing like a 7-week regular season if you want to count that. But I’m not sure how restrictive their bubble is.

Thompson was definitely at OH. I think a lot of the woes for ECZV stem from setting. I doubt Mirkovic and Sahin are doing them favors.
