Several sources have indicated to ESPN that Big Ten presidents, following a meeting on Saturday, are ready to pull the plug on its fall sports season, and they wanted to gauge if commissioners and university presidents and chancellors from the other Power 5 conferences -- the ACC, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC -- will fall in line with them.
Sources told ESPN that a vast majority of Big Ten presidents have indicated that they would vote to postpone football season, hopefully to the spring. A Big Ten official confirmed to ESPN that no official vote took place during Saturday's meeting, but the presidents are set to meet again Sunday night.
"It doesn't look good," one Power 5 athletic director said.

PAT FORDE AND ROSS DELLENGER
High-level conference meetings are being planned for this week across the college football landscape with the expected resolution of postponing fall sports until 2021, multiple sources have told Sports Illustrated.
“It’s gotten to a critical stage,” one conference commissioner told Sports Illustrated Sunday, after a conference call between the heads of the Power 5 conferences. “I think all of us will be meeting with our boards in the coming days. We have work to do that is no fun.”

Did the P5 have any joint meetings earlier to agree to try & pull this off or is this the first joint P5 meeting?

How do schools, conferences, and the governing orgs (NCAA, NAIA) pull off such a big slate of sports all in the spring? Nightmares abound!

There's a better than even chance things will be no better in the spring. Especially if behaviors don't change.

I don’t know many I talk to guess spring would maybe be the time things start turning around. Most think it’s gonna get worse before it gets better and are getting ready for difficult winter but I ask when do you think things start turning. Majority are guessing spring

I mean nba in bubble but playing these seasons I think is irresponsible.

I think it’s stupid especially in winter

The NFL will definitely try. But, their decision making structure is more defined and easier to manage than hundreds of universities directed by hundreds more boards, presidents, athletic directors, legislators, governors, etc. Plus, the players are officially professionals. So, there is that.
It wont change anything, but there are many college football stars, including Trevor Lawrence (the guy most likely to be drafted #1 overall next year and pocket millions), who are taking to twitter basically begging conferences to let them play.
