I think all the true indoor freshmen should have a go at beach to accelerate their development. Ikenaga could be a stellar beach player. Already solid for a freshman backcourt player, but the girl can hit too for someone 5'6. Yea, I was thinking about her. Next year's indoor team will need all the ball control they can get. Also maybe 5th or 6th year scholarship opportunities for some of the girls.

I usually don’t say “oh this player to Hawaii please”
But UH needs to go hard after Allison Jacobs. She could be exactly what the wahine need next season.

If we’re gauging her hitting and defending, we’ll need to take into account that she was attacking other OIA schools with nay competition. Many of those hitters were her size. She’s on this team because she was with Robyn and even Faith for a good chunk of her club career. Good volleyball player? Yes. But I’m not sure she’ll be taking Hawaii further. We’ll see how she develops or if Robyn finds a higher level defender

Looked at her stats at UCLA and as far as her consistency goes she's just like RW: good match then down match, good match then down match...all season like that...granted it was in a much tougher conference but do we need another hitter like that?

Lots of the smalls/defenders on the beach have been successful hitters because of that. Rips are nice, but a solid roll shot and the ability to hit deep corners is even better. I’m sure Ikenaga would be a great defender to a big.

Pshhh. And if that, why bother responding the first time? Lol. Figured it was a mistake to reply to you. 🙄

Would that be because she’s more realistic get for UH? Being Jacobs for from California and out of the PAC-12? Skylar Fields is a player that the Wahine could use, but I’d assume there’s no way she’d even consider Hawaii lol
