I usually don’t say “oh this player to Hawaii please” But UH needs to go hard after Allison Jacobs. She could be exactly what the wahine need next season. Looked at her stats at UCLA and as far as her consistency goes she's just like RW: good match then down match, good match then down match...all season like that...granted it was in a much tougher conference but do we need another hitter like that? She wasn't really given a chance bc she was playing behind May Luper, so it's hard to write her "off" just yet. On the other hand I mentioned that ACF would be a nice pickup as well. She averaged 2.6 k/s @ .221 with 20 aces on the season in 2020, in just 16 matches. Not only that she played the best conference in the country. Either one of them would be very nice pickups for both indoor and beach. |

But at least Riley has two seasons to prove that's shes not a DS playing 6 rotations... Lol! I also was thinking this but BVS is awesome. I’m a huge Leketor Member-Meneh fan as well but I have to say that I personally think that BVS’ game has more depth and isn’t as reliant upon a particular system. I wish Hawaii could have her for one more year. ….or 2. Lol! |

BVS had Hawaii ties and was CHRONICALLY underutilized at Oregon and Hawaii had already recruited Jolie so that wasn’t a hard sell. Unless UH is going to go after Fields or even Williams who played with Lang I believe, I’m not super interested in any more Riley/Johnson type pins. Wonder if those Texas girls enjoyed their time when they came over a couple of years ago… |
