Igiede was called “raw” and came in the did major damage. On the other hand Riley Wagoner was all everything in Ohio and struggled in her first year. I see less “rawness” in Llyada than I did with Igiede. Amber had suspect footwork in her video and she didn’t exactly play in the highest level in Louisiana. llyada only ‘issue” is she doesn’t look like a high flyer and superb all around player. I think she looks great in the video as an OPP. Wagoner is not my favorite player yet I have a soft spot for her. Something about Riley being the very first recruit for Robyn, and the fact that UH was her dream school and that Shoji did not respond to her letters she wrote while she was in high school makes me want to root for her even more. I’m really hoping Riley made strides during this very long dragged out * off season* and that there will be a chance she’ll be in the mix at some point. I may be wrong here and may be speaking out of turn, but I think what she lacks (but really needs) that others possess is aggressiveness and assertiveness. She’s very demure compared to Igiede, Westerberg, and Akana. Even incoming players, Leoniak and Demirtas, have a fiery attitude. I think Wagoner needs to discover the competitive b*tch within and just unleash that side of her during practice and compete hard for a spot on the court. Of course, it’s her hitting that’s clearly the more concerning factor. Hope she and the coaches have figured out the flaws to her arm swing. It was odd; She seemed able to bring major heat behind her swings yet they were so easily dug up many times over. I hope she has made progress and that she doesn’t ride the bench for most of her collegiate career like other players have done. I would like to see her have lots of playing time. Anyway, looking forward to this upcoming season

I’ll have to find some video. Ilayda played in the same Turkish league this season as Adora Anae (Utah) and Khat Bell (Texas)

With all the tall hitters coming I would just rather have BVS wear the L jersey. No. Height isn’t everything. She’s more valuable on the outside. ..and she held her own as an OH. Texas made a run at the championship with a 5'9 Big 12 POY Amy Neal.

Hawaii is getting quite international out there
. . . Robyn is going to have to tell the incoming freshmen to remember to include the American and make her feel at home.

Could someone be very nice and summarize everything that happened in the past year?
Incoming? Outgoing (transfer, graduation)?
Just pretend I have attention deficit issues and can't sustain concentration levels beyond one post. Also pretend I'm an old fogey.

Seniors Williams, Hanawahine, and Van Sickle coming back for Fall 2021. Rasmussen is a question mark. 5 freshmen incoming for Fall 2021. Leoniak, De Goede, Johnson, Demirtas, Ikenaga 1 speculated transfer in for Fall 2021

Just pretend I have attention deficit issues and can't sustain concentration levels beyond one post. Also pretend I'm an old fogey. Currently, we have five incoming freshmen for this coming season: Martyna Leoniak - 6'3" OH from Poland Annika De Goede - 6'3" OPP from the Netherlands Mia Johnson - 5'11" OH from Texas Ilayda Demirtas - 6'5" OPP from Turkey Tayli Ikenaga - 5'5" Libero/DS out of Moanalua HS No transfers coming in at the moment, but it is highly speculated that we are in the running for Saige Ka’aha’aina-Torres, a setter from Utah, who will be a graduate transfer this coming 2021 season (with 2 seasons of eligibility). Currently, the only outgoing player is OH Kaylee Glagau, but it may just be due to her wanting to focus on playing for the beach team than trying to play both indoor and on the beach. At the moment, Kyra Hanawahine, Skyler Williams, and Brooke Van Sickle are returning for their extra year of eligibility due to Covid. We are currently waiting to see if Jolie Rasmussen will be returning as well.

What about Mylana Byrd, Riley Wagoner, Tiffany Westerberg, Amber Igiede, Kate Lang, Siena Springborn, Anna Kiraly? The following players you listed along with Braelyn Akana, and I believe Janelle Gong are expected to return for the 2021 season.

Saige isn't the only speculated transfer in. lol Well she is the only transfer who we know that we are in the running for, as I believe she is choosing between Hawaii, Texas, and Minnesota (not sure if there are others). Others mentioned Scully, Diouf, and etc., but there really isn't any evidence on them actually coming to Hawaii other than posters just saying that they should.
