Wonder if coach Ang leaving will have any impact on the foreign recruits that she helped get over? Possibly, I'm also afraid that some of the middle recruits that UH had eyes on may look elsewhere |

My vote is to borrow Coach Milan from the men’s side. His energy is so infectious, always positive and a players coach who can motivate and engage the women. Coach Rob will be the technical and strategic coach. Her ability to call the right play and putting in the right players is a winning skill.

I think there is a need for another women on the staff. Robyn is the so called “bad cop”. We need another women to play the role of the “good cop”. I also think we need a women in case there are personal issues where the girls can have someone to turn to. It’s Robyn’s job to push the girls hard and the associate coach’s job to ease the pain.
Man…it’s going to be hard to find someone who is not only a great coach but has the compassion of Ang. It will be a tough void to fill.

I believe her club team A5 listed her at 5-11. I don’t think anybody here have seen her play in person since she is from Georgia so hard to tell if the height is legit or not. Would be awesome if she is 6-2 with a 34”vertical and touches 10-4 by the time she gets here next July. ;-) a5volleyball.com/showplayer/393/10247If she's not 6'2, she's nearly met your aspirations in the other two categories...lol. I wonder what Heather Bown has been doing? She would be an excellent choice to replace Angelica. I also thought Kari did a wonderful job when she was there, but I doubt she will want to come back, being a full time mom and all. |

I believe Heather Bown has been away from volleyball for 4 years now. I would rather hire Amber Kaufman. She is currently coaching track and field but was a volleyball coach at Duquesne in 2018 I think. She volunteered under Dan Fisher at PITT for one season before that.
Funny how everyone throwing out names and hope for former Bows. …then Robyn going surprise everyone and hire her former US national team coach Lang Ping…LOL …NOW that would be a steal!!!

I believe Heather Bown has been away from volleyball for 4 years now. I would rather hire Amber Kaufman. She is currently coaching track and field but was a volleyball coach at Duquesne in 2019 I think. She volunteered under Dan Fisher at PITT for one season before that. But she knows what is like to play at the highest level. She was a shutdown blocker at UH, and was one of the best in the world. You can't beat that kind of experience. |
