Tori Harper is the Nevada State POY. Tommi Stockham? She's transferring? Yes, from Indiana. Hawaii’s middles will win the Wahine the conference this year. Thank You... : )

Stockham does seems to have commitment issues. Verbal to USC, changed to IU and then left IU only after one season. She also only hit . 124 with 35 REs in only 65 sets. Yikes.
Talented player but only I don’t think she is better than when CP got Torrey Van Winden.
I like our young guns better.

She makes them better but I don’t think that moves the dial that much for the upcoming season with Maia out. Poly will be in the mix but I think the Beach is Hawaii’s biggest threat in the Big West.

Stockham is still very young. She was the only offensive firepower on her team in the tough B1G. She's going to be as annoying to face as Lindsey Ruddins in the future. But a great get for the Big West!

IMHO both Maia and The Van Winden's are bigger threats. Maia because of her firepower mainly and of course the Van Widen's all-around VB IQ with all that family mana seeping through their pores.

Losing Mia is not easy to recover from Technically they never really had Mia, not playing the Big West season basically made her “transfer” more of a decommit. So it’s up to what they have returning. Not sure what role Chavira will have for the beach this season but she’s a baller and athletic enough to take on the role full time, especially seeing as how much potential they have with Kash and new freshman (Star something?) at the pins. Should be a developing season for most Big West teams top to bottom, gonna be interesting to see who ends up on top.

Her location this spring was... not good.

If she ends up staying at oppo or moving to the left, I think the athleticism will still be an asset but i would think after having been given “a second chance” and not potentially being beat out be a true freshman AND having her 2020 season canceled, this would be the time to step the gameplay up.

Byrd and Lang have now been with the team for how long now? I wonder how much initiative has been taken since the BigWest season cancellation by the setters to get to know their hitters better.

Our setters are just fine. Lol thanks for the non answer??? I didn’t say they weren’t, but they are new and haven’t been able to set in an official match in over a year not to mention adding a bunch of New Freshman pins. What I’m saying is idk what restrictions were placed on the team about how much practice was possible for them between Spring 2020 -Now. Like were they able to practice during the cancelled season? Were the sand bows still able to practice indoors, etc. It just wouldn’t seem fair to me to have your season canceled AND have off season restrictions placed on you during it.

Losing Mia is not easy to recover from I didn't realize that Chavira is the only listed setter on the roster. I'll let bwf talk about their setting situation but that's a big deal if she ends up being the starter. I'd move Poly up to Big West Title contender over the Beach. Denecochea is a good setter, they have some veterans returning, and a young gun transfer.
