I think we should all have faith in the girls. From what I understand there level of fitness has gone through the roof. I believe there is a stronger fire with the girls now than ever before. Keep the faith and never doubt our girls. Pineapple YES! Igiede and Westerberg especially look pro player fit compared to their Frosh years. All the incoming freshmen need to do is fill roles where they need to and not be scared to push the upper classmen for a starting spot. There’s a ton of depth on the roster and that alone should make for an intense practice gym.

I haven't seen her mentioned a lot, but does anyone think Riley Wagoner can step up and be a good 6-ro OH?

I haven't seen her mentioned a lot, but does anyone think Riley Wagoner can step up and be a good 6-ro OH? Yes she has all the tools just seemed like she needed some time to get used to D1 playI think the question is more does the team need her skillset over a different type of OH?

I haven't seen her mentioned a lot, but does anyone think Riley Wagoner can step up and be a good 6-ro OH? Man…she is one person I hope live to the hype. She was Gatorade POY in Ohio and Under Armour All American and was given a starting role to start last year. She had have to have shown something in practice that made Robyn start her. However, when the lights went on, she didn’t do much. Hopefully, she has matured and be more mentally tough out there. I think her confidence was shot when she struggled and McKenna Ross caught fire. With Martyna and Mia this season and Caylen next season, Riley do really need to step up her game or she will be hard pressed to beat out the 3 mentioned above.

I for one was very hard on Riley and her less than impressive gameplay. I thought every aspect of her game was solid except her offense. At first it was just, ok starting the year in this weird system and she’s basically the last on the “go-to” list to get set, but even when they shift to the “regular” 6-2 she ended up with Norene Iosia being a more productive option than her. All that being said, she was a freshman and didn’t have the natural cannon Amber had or the height of Helvig’s contact. I fully expect her to be stronger this season and hope that Martyna and Mia will push her and vice versa.

I think BW TV used to carry all conference WVB games, even if they were static camera feeds. I wonder if ESPN+ will do the same, or whether we will only get to see some of the games. ESPN+ has some minimum standards - a commentator, a score bug, and a certain camera quality. So if a school can't hit those three, the game won't be streamed anywhere. One camera is acceptable though, even if static.

Can’t really think of the Away games Hawaii played and the quality of individual streaming. I think i remember Cal Poly not being great? On the other hand, Fullerton and Riverside have both had good ESPN streaming in the past surprisingly.

Irvine’s past streaming sucked the worst. They had a camera behind the endzone and off to the right. You have a view like if you was sitting behind the end line in the nosebleed seats and in the corner. Could not see the other side of the net that well. Needed to ID the players thru their posture, their body or they way they moved. Not sure if they played at Crawford or Bren but it was junk.

Overall LBSU’s video productions are pretty good. The schools utilizes a bunch of different camera angles including a roaming camera. Nothing touches Hawaii’s productions because they are actually produced by professionals.
