2nd day play about to start. At the end of Day 1, Grand View took care of business against St. Xavier. Only the 1 upset yesterday with Indiana Tech downing Campbellsville. The other three #1 seeds all won in 3. Get to see the best two players in the country not named Felix Chapman today; Jeff Lam and Kyle Anema. This opening match with Vanguard and Indiana Tech could clinch the first semi-final spot if Tech pulls off another upset.

Tech looked a little worn down and that same block that was SO impressive yesterday disappeared against Vanguard. If Vanguard serves tomorrow like today, I think we see them in the semifinals.

Lourdes just rolls MoBap. You’re telling me Ottawa Arizona isn’t better than Missouri Baptist?

Lourdes just rolls MoBap. You’re telling me Ottawa Arizona isn’t better than Missouri Baptist? Ottawa Arizona I think is better than a couple teams in this tournament, MoBap being one of them.

Lourdes just rolls MoBap. You’re telling me Ottawa Arizona isn’t better than Missouri Baptist? Don’t know that answer but do know that Mo Bap played both NAIA matches without starting OH Daniel Borsi, their best passer and one of their best diggers, who hurt his ankle at practice right before the tournament. May not have changed the final outcome, but he was their glue in serve receive and defense all year as well as a reliable hitter. Got Iliff back and lost Borsi. Unlucky all year with injuries.

Vanguard takes Campbellsville out 3-1 Brutal what VU did to them in the 4th set. 25-10. Good to see VU move on to semi's. I thought they were the best team in that pool.

Vanguard is playing really well right now. Granted, I think that was the “easiest” of the pools with Campbellsville as the top seed. Vanguard play extremely hard and have some dynamic athletes. That semi will be a fun one, regardless of who makes it out of Lourdes and Benedictine.

Ben-Mesa not pushed too hard in sweeping Lourdes. Ben-Mesa moves on to face Vanguard in the first semi-final matchup. We'll have the West Coast champion facing the Midwest champion in the final.
Pollnow continues his hot play for Ben-Mesa. Ben-Mesa will be hard to beat if they continue to get good play from their second outside.

BenU Mesa and Vanguard played twice in the regular season, with BenU winning both matches (one in 5, one in 4). With the way both teams are playing right now, it should be a great match and a heated battle.

Jamestown no match for Park. There have only been three 4-set matches all tournament. The rest have been sweeps. Missouri Valley has taken a set off of Grand View twice this season, let’s see if the nightcap can be any more exciting. Barring a miracle, here’s the semifinal matchups:
(2) Benedictine Mesa vs (6) Vanguard (1) Grand View vs (5) Park
And the rest of the field:
Jamestown 1-1 Indiana Tech 1-1 Missouri Valley 1-1 Lourdes 1-1 Saint Xavier 0-2 Campbellsville 0-2 Missouri Baptist 0-2 Georgetown 0-2

They always have hype at the beginning of the year, have a couple poor matches mid-season, and then just go into a different gear in postseason. All credit to them for making a very good Jamestown team look mediocre, and Grand View is going to have their hands full tomorrow.

Predictions?
I have BenU Mesa over Vanguard and Grand View over Park.
In the final, BenU Mesa upsets Grand View to repeat as NAIA National Champion.

Predictions? I have BenU Mesa over Vanguard and Grand View over Park. In the final, BenU Mesa upsets Grand View to repeat as NAIA National Champion. I agree with this prediction. I heard a couple months ago from somebody who used to be close to the program and they said this is the best team Ben U has had, which I was surprised by cause the 2019 team was pretty legit. Ben U Mesa in 4 over Grandview in the title game.
