that's not up to you. Mind your damn business. Are you in control of this forum? Um...it's an open forum. It's everyone's business. That is just his opinion. You don't have to like it but please be respectful. Don't start something you can't finish, especially with fast-tempo. Just a little warning!!!

That was uncalled for. Chill out. I think you need to chill out. You're shooting off at the mouth like diarrhea. Wiz, was just asking a question. Before you responded to her you should've read why she responded the way she did. Chill the eff out! Whoohooo. I love this.

Um...it's an open forum. It's everyone's business. That is just his opinion. You don't have to like it but please be respectful. Exactly, it's everyone business. But please don't tell me not to ask questions. Did you even read why I responded the way I responded? .....yep. And you made a what I felt was a distasteful comment about him being slow. So I called you out on it. You're the one getting all upset. We don't tend to tolerate that kind of drama over here on these international threads. I suggest you bounce on outta here if that is your aim. Also, I didn't ask you not to ask questions. You are putting words in my mouth that I didn't say.

Um...it's an open forum. It's everyone's business. That is just his opinion. You don't have to like it but please be respectful. That was exactly my point. It's an open forum. Please go read first and comprehend why that person got the response he/she got. When newbies try and tell people that have been here for years how to comment that's when I have problem. Oh honey, you think there is a pecking order on a proboards site......that's cute. So by that standard, I out rank both of you. I don't appreciate it when people say rude comments towards others on here. A joke is one thing, but calling people slow is not humorous. At all. I'll check folks like that every single time. And yes, I read what he posted. Both of you are blowing that WAY out of proportion.

I mean, if there are no spectators, then there's no need of a discussion on whether spectators should be vaccinated... that's not up to you. Mind your damn business. Are you in control of this forum? You seem sad, perhaps you need a happy meal. Take this trolling bullsh*t somewhere else. Your aggression is completely unnecessary.

That’s why I was asking? It wouldn’t feel like the Olympics though. I mean, if there are no spectators, then there's no need of a discussion on whether spectators should be vaccinated... It made sense to me. It seems you have upset some trolls on here. Shame on you 😉🤷🏻♂️

The worries are pretty troublesome if you think about it. What if a cluster develop at the Olympics? Worse, a whole new wave is caused by someone attending or participating in the Olympics? The games are already unpopular with the Japanese, how will the government explain to their people a whole new wave caused by the sporting event that the government insists will go forward? Voters will vote out this current government in the next election if that is the case. Thousands of athletes and their supporting staff will start arriving, can you assure none of them have Covid? So its actually a huge headache for the organizing committee. Athletes and staff will be 100% vaccinated. Or at least they’ll all have access from Pfizer. If that is their or your stance - worried about a whole new wave- then I guess it’s because you don’t think vaccines are effective? New waves don’t start when 90%+ of a population has a 95% effective vaccine. Please don't put words into my mouth. Where did I say vaccines won't be effective? Do you think 100% athletes and staff will really be vaccinated as they claimed? What about locals? So don't be naive. All it takes is one or two bad apples to slip through. Whenever there is a large concentration of people, there will be risks. You can't eliminate that.

Pre-vaccine, yeah. 2 infections turn into 20,000 infections way too fast. And that's what made COVID so deadly. If 90% of people are 90% immune, that explosion just doesn't happen. Athletes should all have the opportunity for vaccination. And they shouldn't have any interaction with Japanese locals who are not vaccinated. Btw, here is what the scene looked like today on Kiawah Island

Btw, here is what the scene looked like today on Kiawah Island Don't give me some golf tournament that may have no relations with the Olympics. I mean, congrats to Phil for his historic victory as the oldest major champion. But that is one sport. Olympics is MANY sports. You are missing my point in any case. What makes you think enough athletes will really get vaccinated as they claimed to make a difference? 90%? You gotta be kidding me. What about the local spectators? Do you have any idea what the vaccinated rate is for the local Japanese? Its not anywhere close to 90%. Heck, its not anywhere close to 50%. You might be rather naive here to think there will be no risks of new clusters or wave developing from the Olympics. You are dealing with thousands of athletes from all over the world with varied level of compliance to get vaccinated. That is a potential recipe for a new outbreak.

Athletes testing positive, this was what I was talking about:
Two Australian Olympic skateboarding hopefuls have had their Tokyo dreams dashed after returning positive COVID tests in the United States, along with their coach. The skateboarders were part of an Australian contingent who flew to the US earlier this month for an Olympic qualifying event in Des Moines, Iowa. The entire Australian team was disqualified from the event because they were deemed close contacts of the three team members who tested positive. One of those who contracted COVID, Charlotte Heath from Victoria, confirmed her diagnosis on Instagram, saying she was "bummed about not being able to compete" in the US event.
