How would you rank them going into the season? That's really hard, but I did it in another thread. I'd like to look in depth at the teams before this is official but I will give it a shot and would love to talk about it with others. 1. Howard 2. FAMU 3. Delaware St. 4. Coppin St. 5. Jackson St. 6. Alabama St. Beyond that I would just be guessing. I guess I need to do more research myself. I think these top teams will take a big step forward this year and surprise some with their out of conference performance. |

Does ESPN pay schools for the games/matches that get put on ESPN+/ESPN3 or does the schools pay ESPN for their streaming platform services? This is in reference to the sports/schools that don't exactly bring in the views/ratings that would move the needle to any noticeable degree |

I think the universities pay for the talent and production. I get that feeling too. I was wondering more about which way the "deal" with ESPN went. ESPN paying the school/conference for "content" or the school/conference paying ESPN for providing the streaming platform. or is it a zero sum exchange, with the school/conference benefiting via their fans being able to see their contests (especially road games) while ESPN benefits from those that buy ESPN+ subscriptions or whose cable/sat/internet providers pay for ESPN3 access |
