I wanted to create a place to keep the discussion on HBCU volleyball moving forward. Please feel free to post concerning any MEAC, SWAC, or other HBCU programs.

The MEAC is on a roll early. Howard, Morgan State, Delaware State and Norfolk State all picked up wins over Atlantic 10 teams after they lost a couple 5 set matches to good teams last weekend. Looks like the whole conference is trending upward.
The SWAC has started conference matches but conference frontrunners Alabama St and Alabama A&M have opted out which leaves Prairie View as the favorite to win the championship. They have been taking care of business so far.
Tennessee State hasn't started play yet, but look forward to seeing them play.

Delaware St is only a few years removed from being one of the worst teams in all of Division 1. What Bruce has done there is remarkable. Picking up a win over George Washington, who is typically in the top half of the A10, is HUGE. Have to think it’s the biggest win in program history.

Didn't Hampton U (arguably one of the "name" HBCUs) recently leave an all-HBCU conference?

I'm really glad there's a dedicated thread for this and hope it stays active. Will be really interested to see how some of these more highly rated recruits who specifically chose the HBCU experience will help improve their teams

I watched a Stanford match versus Howard University, at Howard, very early in the 2018 season IIRC. The spirit in that gym was just simply outstanding (especially in the student section)!

Why is the SWAC releasing their POTW on Fridays? What sense does that make?
