I legit loled when he said this. I was confused: linesman called out: but Baylor got point? And not sure that Pepperdine was asking if block hit floor during rally when pepperdine blocked OH- baylor covered hitter and saved with what looked like pancake and then ended up with that in-out craziness! And your critique of announcer; usually an announcer is in gym while we are at home and we count on them to see what we cant see and hear what we cant hear: but the announcers are at home too! Announcers have done yeoman performance and your criticism is completely un-warranted and without merit! oh spare us the righteous defense. It was a funny moment of a commentator clearly not being familiar with enough matches to get past his prep material of "ball out, flag up".

I thought the up official immediately overruled the line judges call.

Huh? I think most people expected a close match. Not at all unreasonable to think a team could win who was up 2-1 in the match and went 5 in the opposition's gym. Reasonable would be close to a split vote. 31-13 for the unseeded team is nothing but the homers dominating the vote. well, to be fair, Baylor was without one of their leading scorers and RS blockers, Pepperdine was full strength, and they went 5 before?

People have been generally impressed by the announcing and have praised it appropriately. This specific criticism is perfectly warranted. It must be rough being that line judge's parent on this forum though.

Was hoping Pepperdine would win but there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! Looking forward to see where Scully ends up transferring. She is going to be a great piece for whatever team she ends up on!!! Eh?

One of those reasons being Hannah Sedwick! She was a major reason why they won the game. The switch from a 5-2 to a 5-1 paid off. She may not have the cleanest hands but she gets the job done.

Baylor lost to Texas State at home and easily could have been an unseeded team. I certainly saw them closer to #16-#17 than #12 based on their resume.

You think Penn St will have more votes than whoever they play?

I actually picked Baylor in my bracket to advance - I don't ever vote in these thread polls, but I'm just saying that given these two teams history, and Baylor being down a key player, and it being on a neutral court, I don't think it's unreasonable for it to be more lopsided in Pepperdine's favor for a quick poll. Also, like, who the F cares if Nebraska homers bulldoze a thread poll?

Not sure why? I'm anti everything Big-10 bias. the WCC isn't the Pac-12, which is my conference. I'd have preferred a San Diego and Pepperdine win, but I don't have gripes here. Your trolling seems ineffective for these two matches, but feel free to continue. Because it's funny seeing your rooting for West coast teams in every thread. Don't take these posts too seriously, though. I usually want the underdog. Which means it will be Baylor or Texas State next round! If I can't have both Hames I don't want either!
