I do wonder if all the votes for Pepperdine were Nebraska fans hoping Baylor would lose. They didn’t want to see Pressley outshine their little ray of Sun in the next match up🥺 But if Nebraska plays it right, Stivrins will dust both of Baylor’s middles by herself💀

Listen to the leading homer. No need to be sensitive here. I actually picked Baylor in my bracket to advance - I don't ever vote in these thread polls, but I'm just saying that given these two teams history, and Baylor being down a key player, and it being on a neutral court, I don't think it's unreasonable for it to be more lopsided in Pepperdine's favor for a quick poll. it wasn’t just lopsided. There was 0 respect for the bears in the poll against a team they had already beaten this seasons

17 of those votes are in a 5-setter. Baylor lost to Texas State at home and easily could have been an unseeded team. I certainly saw them closer to #16-#17 than #12 based on their resume. they still had already beaten The waves. In 5 sets, at home, but now missing their starting opposite. So the majority took 5 sets for the opposition on a neutral court. Sounds reasonable to me. The '80s homer comment is weird. The WCC teams clearly looked great today against seeded teams. Came up just short.

I expected Baylor to turn it up and win, but the "disrespect" card here is ridiculous.

Reasonable would be close to a split vote. 31-13 for the unseeded team is nothing but the homers dominating the vote. What's wrong with rooting for the underdog? You think Penn St will have more votes than whoever they play? I just find it funny that the prediction votes in any match are mostly biased votes by fans, but some seem to think that they are predictions full of analysis. It's also funny how the homers in this match are all up in arms over a little jab.

Huh? I think most people expected a close match. Not at all unreasonable to think a team could win who was up 2-1 in the match and went 5 in the opposition's gym. Reasonable would be close to a split vote. 31-13 for the unseeded team is nothing but the homers dominating the vote. Are they West Coast homers or just people who don't like or aren't impressed with Baylor? I suppose maybe it's a little of column A and a little of column B. I do agree that 31-13 (70.5%) for the unseeded team that already lost this matchup head-to-head is a bit lopsided and indicates some kind of bias.

WCC is underrated and Baylor is overrated. Could have been nothing more than a reaction to that.

Maybe some of us had doubts about Baylor after they lost in 4, at home, against Texas State to end the season.

Which homers is that exactly? The B1G homers that are rooting for a WCC team? I really don't consider myself a homer for any team
