\\ Is that posted somewhere. That is an absolutely horrible percentage. I would be surprised if that is the definition of that statistic. I think you can use the eye test to see how MN's passing is just not at the level it should be for elite teams! I'm not arguing that it is but to say they average less than a 2.0 for the season is just wrong.

I had a conflict this afternoon (darn kids) so only saw the box score. Someone want to save me from having to read 63 pages and give the Cliff Notes version of what went wrong for Minnesota before I can find and watch a replay? I’m not totally shocked as after seeing Pitt I thought they would give Minnesota a run for their money, but it’s really disappointing for Samedy and Pittman clearly.

While the delivery of the message is severely lacking, I'm not sure he/she is entirely wrong. I'm a HUGE fan of Samedy and Pittman, and I feel for them. But other than those two, and occasionally Rollins, I haven't seen a lot of fire and passion from the Minnesota players this season. Landfair is HUGELY talented, but damned if she doesn't look completely bored at all times. So I do think a lack of emotion hurt Minnesota, that and first ball contact. Can't win, especially in women's volleyball, when your middles get only 13 combined attempts in a 5-set match. Emotion is highly overrated.

The usual went wrong, passing issues, no middle game. Landfair making some untimely errors in set 5. Rollins and Samedy played well enough to win, but needed more from the rest. Pittsburgh put up a good offensive mix between Ndee and Lund, and Nwokolo out of the middle couldn't be stopped by a slow reacting Rubright, et. al.

Volleymetrics, a service used by programs, including Minnesota, for data analysis. \\ Is that posted somewhere. That is an absolutely horrible percentage. I would be surprised if that is the definition of that statistic. Yes it is on VM with the coded game film from every match so you can check each pass for yourself. If you want to check it you'll just need to be a player or coach at a program that pays $10,000 a year for the service.

What you are saying is Minnesota passes for the season under a 2.0. That is simply false.

If this was their last match, big thanks to Reagan and Samedy for giving us some incredible volleyball for the past 4 years.
Kudos to Pitt for playing a super scrappy match! Hugh is going to eventually figure out that he needs to champion much tougher serving in order to win. Pitt sideouts were almost automatic at times today.

That does not mean the passing grade on a 3 point scale is under 2.
