but you are wrong about this statistic. What you are saying is Minnesota passes for the season under a 2.0. That is simply false. Is that what you think I said? I posted the VM gp% for Minnesota: 44.4%. That does not mean the passing grade on a 3 point scale is under 2. but it also is under a 2

I don't know but Minnesota is not passing below a 2.0 for the season. That is for certain. they are passing a 1.97 so yes. They are. is that a stat that is published somewhere?

If this was their last match, big thanks to Reagan and Samedy for giving us some incredible volleyball for the past 4 years. Kudos to Pitt for playing a super scrappy match! Hugh is going to eventually figure out that he needs to champion much tougher serving in order to win. Pitt sideouts were almost automatic at times today. 62.3% to 61.9% for the Gophers. Hugh should also figure out how to get some elite defenders/passers.

If Minnesota is passing at below a 2.0 the should not have been in the tournament. why? That would make them one of the poorest passing teams in the tournament.

That would make them one of the poorest passing teams in the tournament. In 2019 Minnesota made the final four with a team grade of 1.8 in the tournament. As I said, the Gophers SR problems did not start today.

So you aren't including the 3 passes in with the GP% That makes a difference. Thanks for clarifying. As I said when you initially asked, a good pass is simply 2+. So yes, GP% includes 3 passes, it just doesn't differentiate between 2 and 3. And again, these are VM grades. Each program grades slightly differently but we do use these numbers when preparing our scouting reports and they have value from a comparative perspective.
