That is how I would understand it. Covid spring season "didn't count", is one valid way to look at it, so still 5 calendar years to play 4 seasons. Then a medical hardship would give another season to participate, basically wipe out that she participated in 2021 Fall early on. Would be the same as if she redshirted this fall. So 4 calendar years to play in 4 seasons, remaining. I'm not sure she qualifies for a medical redshirt. She appeared in 9 of 28 regular season matches. That is more - albeit by just a little - than the 30% maximum allowed. I don't know if there's any 'wiggle room' on the 30% max, but if there isn't... Correct, but you can always apply for it and it is a subjective thing. It's reviewed and granted/rejected by a committee of humans. I'm sure they can consider it on a case-by-case basis. |

This was a special moment tonight. Broken play, Samedy goes up and crushes it. Many members of the crowd got up to give Samedy a standing ovation for the OOS kill. Really felt like a moment of extra appreciation for the last 5 seasons on her last night playing at the Pav. Honestly, tonight was the most fun I've had at a gopher game since at least 2018. Really felt like the perfect night to send out Samedy and Miyabe. I really wish they had gotten a moment at the end of the match for the crowd to show their appreciation for all they've given us. On to the Sweet 16! Nice! This sums up how hard this Gopher team has worked all year. They also maintained their poise no matter what was happening on the scoreboard. |

MIYABE DIVES CROSS COURT TO BRING UP TIP, WENAAS, DIRECTLY BEHIND MYERS DEEP IN THE COURT AND LEFT OF THE MIDPOINT, WITH NO HITTER AT THE LEFT PIN AND NO ANGLE TO SHAFF EITHER, BUMP SETS DEAD CENTER TO THE 3 METER LINE WHERE Samedy goes up and crushes it. I've never gotten tickets to an away Gopher tournament appearance--does anyone know if they let you know where the Minnesota block of tickets is when you try to buy them online tomorrow?

I think they wouldn’t sell those tickets until whatever is left is returned to WI by Minnesota. I don’t think that section would be ID’d online. I’m just guessing, though  |

The section is 19 seats wide, so 18x19 = 342 tickets, etc. (Seed 4 is the same thing but the other side of center court, section Q.) No truth to the rumor that it is section S for "Samedy". |

I really, really, wish that the Gopher ticket office would stop saying that all fans have to go to the host website to get tickets. I cannot believe that they’re holding 342 tickets for the coaches/player pass list and as perks for staff. Gotta believe that the big donor (and really, it shouldn’t even need to be that big) fans get tickets if they ask nicely… so just say that. |

I wonder if the Gophers are going to tell each player and staff member they are allotted so many tickets, or if they are going to take the whole time they have custody of the the tickets to see how many friends and family pop up saying they want tickets?

Yeah. For Football, the Gophers are going to the "Guarnteed Rate" bowl. And guess what? You can apply for tickets, and they will assign/sell you the tickets that the school is allotted, based on your Gopher Score. You'd think they could do something like that for Volleyball (and probably other sports) :/ |

Humorous but also wtf comment I saw on the vs. Stanford replay had someone saying CC died in a car accident. I am deceased.
