Bayley’s in the portal, good for her. I think she will do great things for another team, feel bad such a great player/set of hands didn’t see the court much. Wherever she goes, I hope she gets to start and thrive!

Wherever she goes, I hope she gets to start and thrive! She's a very good setter but it was not in the cards for her to get much playing time at Minnesota. I have to assume she knew that going in. I wish nothing but the best for her and I'm grateful for the times she came in to games and Bayled us out!

Curious what people say as far as Steph's chances for POY. It seemed like she was the runaway leader at the end of the regular season, but then some said she needed MN to not get knocked out early. Elite 8 would seem to satisfy that, but now I see some saying she will lose to Rettke, in part due to WI's 3-0 record against MN this year.
My 2 cents - Rettke is a fabulous player, but can a POY really be someone who only plays half the time? And can a player be Nat'l POY when they weren't even conference POY?
Curious for the opinion of those who have watched trends with post-season awards over the years.

Well, of course, Minnesotans are going to root for our superstar. An interesting comment was made during the impromptu discussion hosted by Lee of volleyballmag volleyballmag.com/salima-jenny-emily-lee-121021/Just like controversies re. team rankings over the course of a season there are different metrics. I believe it was Salima who touted Eggleston, but when Lee asked if you took one player of the NPOY candidates off their team who would suffer the most all agreed it is Samedy. take Samedy out of the MN lineup and the team would struggle to even reach the NCAA tournament. Is one player's impact on a team so important that it bears recognition as a NPOY candidate? Salima said that it should be the entire body of work of a player, not just the MVP of the final 4. Discussion of this starts about the 22' mark

Not sure why there is more chatter on the future topic than here I guess Bayley’s portal entry generated thoughts about running 6-2 and Shaff’s ‘areas for continued growth’ I would be flabbergasted if Hugh went that route.
I’ve not yet reviewed the replay from Madison Given the team’s liabilities you have to honor their outperformance over the campaign
I am looking forward to studying our tournament performance. Are kill% stats available without manual calculation? If so, where?

I expect Bayley's going for a masters and wants to play volleyball at that school.
