I got an email with a link to UW for tickets - but the link doesn't have tickets for this coming weekend's round. curiouskg — are you a regular season ticket holder or do you have the Premium seats (like JT)? I’m asking because we’ve been season ticket holders for about 15 years, but recently we haven’t been getting any emails from the ticket office about either post season tickets or the Rutgers cancelled match. So if they are sending out emails to all season ticket holders at this point, I need to fix that!

mnvb56, I'm a regular season ticket holder - not the fancy chair backs. Just the normal bleachers. I have gotten emails regularly.

Husemann & Myers: NO PRISONERS ON OVERPASSES. Put it on the floor... WITH PREJUDICE OK, I will admit: this is frustrating. But again, I blame that they almost never get to hit the ball. You all saw the classic "armpit set" that one of them (Myers I think) got in the match. I guess they're trying to do the Brazilian men's team style of "quick sets to the middle from anywhere on the court", because they know that regular middle sets just are out the window. The backsets to the slide are quite good though, obviously as Schaff has done approx. 1.8Million backsets to Samedy in two seasons. The quick sets to the outside seem to be clicking fairly well.

Lastly, if you look at the Instagram (or on Facebook now just the same, under "stories") clips you can see some of the physical activity that Landfair does on the sidelines. She's just fine, physically. Maybe she was hurt at some point, but not anymore.
They're not playing her on purpose, probably I'm guessing because they want to apply for a medical hardship for this season.
Miyabe has stepped up so brilliantly this year. Like the TV commentators were saying, very dependable to get a kill when we need it. So awesome to see!!

Because 2020 spring didn’t count right?

That is how I would understand it.
Covid spring season "didn't count", is one valid way to look at it, so still 5 calendar years to play 4 seasons.
Then a medical hardship would give another season to participate, basically wipe out that she participated in 2021 Fall early on. Would be the same as if she redshirted this fall. So 4 calendar years to play in 4 seasons, remaining.

That is more - albeit by just a little - than the 30% maximum allowed. I don't know if there's any 'wiggle room' on the 30% max, but if there isn't...

I’m not sure if postseason matches are counted or not but I heard that she can apply for a petition if it’s close to the 30% and they are ‘typically’ granted?

Has anyone received any communication from the Gopher ticket office regarding tickets for the Regional (which takes place in 4 days!). I know that JT appears to have received info from them, (but then he sits in the fancy seats on the end line, so he’s got connections! ). There isn’t anything on the Wisconsin ticket website for the Regional, and the NCAA ticket website has a heading for Regional tickets, but there’s nothing there when you click on it. I guess I’ll just keep checking here and hope that some info is disseminated today. I got an email with a link to UW for tickets - but the link doesn't have tickets for this coming weekend's round. That’s what I got… email from the Gopher ticket office saying that they wouldn’t be doing anything for regional tickets (but what about the set-aside that WI has to make for the visiting teams??) and a link to the Badger ticket office, which only had a button for buying sub-regional tickets, which was already in the past. I guess it’s fortunate that I can’t go down for the Thu match against Baylor, because this whole process is frustrating. After we beat Baylor, I might see about heading down to watch us upset some Badgers (and their fans) on Sat… if I can find a ticket on Stubhub or equiv.

Landfair was crushing the ball on the 10 foot line during warm ups...she is clearly at least mostly healed from whatever injury she had.

What we really need to see is how Landfair looks crushing balls from the right pin.

Thanks for info, everyone--and trust me, I have checked my spam folders. And added all of the Gopher ticket office email addressess to my contacts, and even designated them as "VIP contacts"--but bupkis! I was getting emails previously, so who knows what happened. But you're right JT --I need to fix this!
